Looking at this fight i think Mosley has a good chance to win. But how does he do it?

Well, in my eyes getting into a boxing match with Mayweather is a direct route to losing a UD or SD - you simply can't out box the guy - such a beautiful talent in this department.

However, Mosley, in my opinion, will have a considerable strength and power advantage. Now i am not saying that Mayweather isn't strong, in fact i really feel like he has grown into the Welterweight division; i just feel Mosley has the edge in this area.

Maybe the only way for a Mosley win is to just go in and throw throw throw.... be a bit reckless and shoot from all angles. Mayweather perhaps doesn't see punches from unorthodox angles as well - like in the Corley fight when Chop Chop connected with a solid left that backed mayweather up. Using this style maybe Mosley could get 7 rounds in the bag and perhaps a knockdown? Then try and survive - i dunno

I guess my question is - what would your approach be if you were Mosley considering who you are fighting?

id love to see someone take the first 2/3 (as per normal) against floyd and then get on their bike and just try to win purely on activity. Make floyd come to you and make him have to throw combos not just potshots

He should make this an ugly fight and brawl with mayweather while remaining smart with it. I dont see anyway Mosley outboxes mayweather. He got outboxed by cotto man cmon if he tries to fight tactically with the best tactical fighter in the game he is gonna lose. I think he loses either way but i think he has a better chance if he tries to bully mayweather.

I don't think Mosley has a chance to outbox Mayweather.... He needs to brawl, and he still might lose.

    Hey man.

I agree with you that Cotto did outbox Shane but i think the reason why is because Cotto has an EXTREMELY heavy and accurate jab - this was a big problem for Shane - just couldn't get past it effectively - don't think Mayweather will have nearly as strong a jab so i think it will be easier for Mosley to get by it and get on the inside

Make Mayweather come to him. If mayweaher does not throw any punches but instead waits to counterpunch, Mosley should be disciplined not to throw either, even if it would end up too boring. That was JMM's problem as he was the one leading.

Afterall, they name of the game is winning.

Or, he could make the fight very very very ugly, with lots of clinching, elbowing, rabbit punching, pushing, as well as coming in way heavier.

That strategy was already a thred I started few months ago.

He should throw everything at him to keep him guessing. At one point try to pressure him, at another throw angled shots, and then at another jab and potshot, etc etc.

Mayweather hasn't been stumped. He eventually figures his opponent out. So give him too much information. Throw red herrings while setting up your true game plan and that may just work.

    Caclulated wildness.
Combinations from different angles. But he has to watch being countered the whole night by a strong Mayweather right hand.

He should go after him from the get go, Fraud doesn't have the Pop to hurt SSM unless he gets old the night of the fight, he should punish Jr with all he got, just like Fraud vs. Castillo I.

Either route he takes, it ends with an L for Mosley.

He has to be faster and react quicker. I think he can do this to a certan extent but not for the whole 12 rounds.

Not Brawl so much, but apply pressure constantly and intelligently. He needs to be on Mayweather's ass like Richard Simmons.
