Mosley beat Cotto... Here is why he was given the loss.

I really wish to sit down with those who though Mosley won the fight and see wtf they were watching ..Its mind boggling !

 

After a month or so almost everyone will recognize that Cotto clearly won. Even after the Williams-Margarito match there were many people who thought it was a robbery. As time goes by people see things more clearly usually.

There is no way in hell Mosley got the better of Cotto last night, it was clear as day!

 

Thats what I'm saying!!!! Learn about boxing people. Some of the comments in here are making me sick to my stomach.

 

I find it incredible that anyone thinks that Mosley won that. I thought for once, the judges scorecards were spot on

 

Very good post. But you guys forgot to mention that it also has to do with promoters (so money). It is a bit naive imo to think ''they'' only did it for the sake of the sport. The promoters did it for the money as well (the longer cotto srtays champion and is a hype the more they earn on him)

 

The problem in Shane is that he lacks ring intelligence. He always was and still is incredibly gifted and has all the tools in the world (noone can take that away from him) but yesterday he fought Cotto's fight. Many of the guys here are saying "well Mosley always was better than Mayweather." I don't see it that way, PBF is just much more intelligent in the ring, and for that matter so is Cotto.

 

I agree with the above post (Kojiro) I believe Mosley is just as physically gifted as PBF but he does seem to lack some ring intelligence. Then again its gotta be hard to be intelligent when you got a guy like Cotto in front of you. Only thing that would tell is if Mosley-PBF fight or Cotto fights PBF then we can compare. The Cotto i saw last night seemed unstoppable by anyone in the Welterweight division.

 

I wish I could believe that, because I do believe that the fight was close.
Alot of rounds were very close.

.....but Iv'e read reports from more than one source stating that one judge gave Cotto the last two round to salvage the win by a round on his scorecard......and in a fight where most would agree saw Mosely getting the better of it in the 2nd half, another judge gave Cotto every round from the 6th to the 11th.atsch
Goodness, that judge even gave that round (the 9th I believe) in which Cotto looked gassed and seemingly ready to go!:-(

So no, as much as I want to believe that Cotto won a closely contested fight that could have gone either way, the scoring in the second half by at least one if not two of those judges, just does'nt indicated that!:-(

 

It wouldn't have been a robbery if it went either way. If your fighter lost he lost it's that simple. I hate when its a close fight and cocksuckers start screaming juice.

 

One judge having Cotto winning 5 out of the last 6 rounds is precise?:huh

 

I hate when ppl are stupid enough to critizize cottos fight, he won that fight and I'm not even a fan of him, I was rooting for shane and he lost that fight giving to many midle rounds away, he lost by 2 rounds
