dude...can you elaborate on wtf you are talking about? before i curse you out, i just want to be objective and understand your point first. who cares about what other people say, Mosley fought vernon and winky, the high risk low reward fights and then went straight for fernando two times....so who cares what teh fans say. it is what it is. what is your point?

 

Great news, 2010 is going to start off with a bang just like this year. Mosley-Berto is going to be a very good fight.

Who was out there for a big fight for Mosley beside Forrest in that time huh? On that year he wanted to fight Trinidad but Trinidad was already schedule for a mw tournament. Oscar was busy of either moving up in weight or doing music. Vs Wright, Mosley didn't have a choice cause he wanted 50/50 or 60/40 in his favor vs De la hoya in the rubbermatch in which of course got turn down cause Mosley being a dumb greedy fighter. So other then that there was nobody availble for a big fight for Mosley not name Wright. Vargas was already a shot fighter when he fought Mosley twice. Didn't Vargas got a broken cheek bone vs freaking Castilejjo before the Mosley fight? lol.

ok let me try to explain, mind you i was just about to go to bed but i just have a feeling that you are slighlty misinfomred by teh situation.

first point....ODLH wanted the 3rd rematch, and bc mosley won twice wanted a bigger piece of the pie. Nonetheless, i believe mosley had turned down somewhere upwards of 8 milion to fight winky wright for somethign upwards of 3 million. Dumb business move but he wanted to take on a new challenge. I am sure Winky appreciates the opportunity.
BOTTOM LINE, winky was, is and will always be the harder fight between WW and ODLH.

second point......Shane fought vernon forrest bc he was the other champion at the time, the IBF champ. Vernon Forrest called shane out and and this was a unification bout. Shane gave vernon the chance. Rmember these two fighters have a long history with one another. Shane wanted to prove he was the best and lost. Trinidad nor ODLH fought forrest.

third point, Vargas was not his best, but shane was still fighitng the bigger, stronger fighter. When a fighter is not performing on the same plateu, what do you do? you KO him. THat is what shane did. TWICE. Its not like shane almost lost. Shane was dropping right hands and hooks at wil and made vargas look like a monster. second fight, he ko'd him even more convincgly letting him know that there were no doubts.

Bottom line is, out of all the available fights, Forrest WINKY and Vargas were some of the toughest matches at the time despite one guy being too tall too big or shot. He fought, thats it. THe results happened in the ring!
