just saying i refuse to bring myself down to that level still isnt a legit retort to all the many fact based accusations i posted about pacman earlier, i think your smart enough to realize something is not right and that is why you cant defend him much more

I have seen every ali documentary, read every ali book, and studied ali as much as anyone.

The man crossed the line with Joe Frazier, and he might have been cruel to Patterson and Terrell but at the end of the day, he was a class act.
Ali said things to make people laugh, Floyd says things to make you discredit other fighters.

    Manny pacquiao is on steroids
Mosley is a cheater, so we don't know how many titles he really won
Sugar ray leonard who lost to camacho?

Ali oozed charisma. He was never vulgar or disgusting. He was one of the key elements of civil rights in the 60's. I respect floyd helping battered women and poor people on the streets, but he acts like a complete ass hole when talking about boxing/legacy/other fighters.

Floyd never directly said it, although he obviously implied it.

Hey, if Floyd forces fighters for the rest of his career to takes this test then who really cares. Maybe there could be a good change from this in the future of the sport. Who knows... some good could have come from it.

It does suck that Pac's reputation has been forever or at least temporarily damaged. It's not right and it isn't fair. If I view this perspective more I would get feelings of being mad at Floyd and feeling somewhat bad for Pac. As a boxing fan... it was hard to see a fight not get made because of a little pint of blood. 14 days seemed respectable enough of an offer. I really wish the fight happened. I think it will later in the year anyway. Hopefully Pac gets his revenge or at least makes it exciting.

I don't agree that Pac is neccessarily tailor made for Pac. Pac throws combination faster and throws flurries non-stop. Those ingredients can trouble Floyd.

It's a quote from the "when we were kings"

Ali says "it means Ali kill him!"

I wasn't saying it to explain it to boxing fans, I know most of you get it.

well look at it you honestly think floyd is going to get FULL credit for beating Mosley?

look at it..soons he wins or if he wins...Mosley is 38, well past his prime some will say, and then there will be Floyd waited till Molsey got old nonsens or Floyd ran the whole time....look at how people discredit his Oscar Win....and to me that was a great win considering he had to go to 154 and accepted all of Oscars demands...now ask and see how many give Floyd FULL credit for Oscar.....who is an ATG himself older and past his prime....however very capable of beating Floyd as he showed.

Floyd's reward will not be as great for winning as the cost would be if he lost...the two are not even on the same playing field..night and day.

Yeah, I honestly don't see pac winning, but I am damn sure it would be a great fight.

I agree. Good to see you think he went too far with Joe. I have a soft spot for Ali though(My second favorite fighter tied with Frazier coincidentally. Not one of those fans thats fans of one and not the other. And a idol of mine when I was a kid). I think sometimes the hero-worship can be a bit much but what he represented to the black community and all humans was something undeniably powerful.

Ali had a way about himself. Ali was a bad guy in the 60's by default for being a loud-mouthed black man.

Floyd is the villain by choice. If he fights Mosley & Pac before he retires then the whole showmanship gets enhanced a little. If he fights neither, It will leave a bad taste in my mouth. And I would zero reason to give him another chance to try making good.

I don't care about that full credit nonsense. This is the second biggest fight that can be made in boxing right now. Mayweather vs. Pacquiao is the only other fight that people want to see over this fight. I don't care how old or washed up Mosley may be. He's ranked as one the top welters as well as one of the top fighter in the world. People can discredit Floyd all they want for this fight afterwards. Well all know damn well that there isn't a better fight that he can take in the absence of Pacquiao.

i dont think its unfair...i mean if your clean as you say you are and are as confident in winning as you say you are...you were given a 14 day cutoff....y would you not want to 1 clear your name anyway and two whoop his ass afterwar and three make 40 mil......there are NOTHING BUT POSITIVES for taking the small tests...remember its blood sampling not DONATING very very different.

Well, you have to look at the terms relatively.
He could have been assassinated easily, and still spoke out.
Look at MLK and Malcolm X.

The man did what no athlete has done ever. He stood by his cause and took the media/cultural punishment head on.
If floyd mayweather stood up against Afghanistan and Iraq and then fought Margarito/mosley/pacquiao/cotto I would get a ****ing tattoo of a hundred dollar bill with floyd's face on it on my back.

ur right but we both know what really happens....its reality man....i agree with you..but reality is he wont receive the same credit especially if he wins a close one.....like i said example ODLH fight....he still doesnt receive as much credit as he should.

And? Floyd pocketed over $20 mill for that fight. I would gladly pocket $20+ mill and not get enough credit for the win. You have to just realize that people will never give credit to people that they don't like. Just sit back, and enjoy the fights. Mayweather/Mosley and Mayweather/Pac are the two biggest fights that can be made in boxing and there is a good chance that both will be made within the next 12 months. No rational person can hate on a prizefighter for taking the biggest fights out there.

What is the Hitler **** all about, you need to chill :rasta:rasta

Mayweather outside the ring is a spoiled ******* ,no doubt. He belittles other fighters ,flashing cash like a 5 year old kid,the guy is ****ed.The last part of his career he`s been too selective in his opponnents protecting the 0 or just looking for meaningfull fights, I think both.

He & Pacquiao both ****ed the fans out of the biggest fight in 25 years, you seem to have some logic but I can`t really believe you do not question Manny`s dodging a simple testing program.

I believe like you that Mayweather should step the **** up & get what he can out of himself while he can, to prove whatever legacy he deserves in boxing history....
