I know what its like to trade leather.

    Gayweather is still a *****.

Nallege....are you on Gayweather's payroll as his PR man?

He didn't see any real challenge at 147?

    You are kidding right?

He'll try and come back, but if people do nothing but **** on him and hate he'll step back away - or we'll see yet another incarnation of 'Floyd Mayweather.' His personality will change again. Something will give, he can't live with the pain.

Leaving a division w/o defending it against a top WW just when it's getting hot does make him look a little bad. Maybe he's not as confident as his overly cocky exterior shows. Then again those the most brash are often trying to make up for something.

Funny thing is, he complained about NOT getting his dues or respect, so he leaves when he's hot and the face of boxing AND his division is seen as the best in the biz? That makes no sense using his reasons. I hope he comes back. There are great fights to be made.

phloyd told us, "Anybody from 154 on down I'll whoop their ass."

so if phloyd was such a superstar he would have lined everyone up from 147 and beat them down one by one,

and they all would have been mega fights right? phloyd we are told is a superstar and don't need to piggy back on bigger name opponents do he?

Mayweather retired because of hand and body injuries.

I find this to be very true actually...I think he tried to be a role model of something by showing his dedication to the sport and showing what it gets you by came off as a greedy *****. Did you notice he tried to change his image in the WWE bit? He was playing Hero against The Big Show...coincidence?

That on top of feeling proven from his 135 and below days...

AND a number of hand injuries as well as others...

My only problem with this guy is his lineal status and leaving the sport without fighting one of the big dogs...as well as talking the amount of **** he does and doesnt back ANY of it up.

I personally blame Floyd's earlier ego NOT to do business with Arum...and Arum's CURRENT ego NOT to do business with Floyd.

But IMHO...**** him...he's retired...his legacy will be tarnished for leaving the sport with THAT many names coming up in the WW division...they glance over his wins against Corrales, Hernandez, and Chavez witha passive eye and see that his highlights (DLH, Hatton and Judah) are nothing special (We feel they are because we've seen it...but in 10 years...he'll be questioned and lowered...just look at Marciano...retired undefeated and did many great things...but fought old competition and decent contenders)

I still feel the man has a right to retire and he's a great fighter...one of the greatest of our era...and an ATG already.

The persona of Floyd Mayweather is the persona YOU think you know. You don't know Floyd the person. He could care less what you or anyone else thinks. If he did, he wouldn't have gone the route he did. Why do you think he talked so much smack to Hatton and Dlh. To make money. You guys can't separate this from reality. You don't know the man at all. You guys just say things like this to feel good and get some posters on your side lol. Fighters are some of the most down to earth people you will ever meet. Floyd is one of them. He never refuses autograph's and his charity work is well known in his area. He created his image that some of you guys hate. It made you buy his fight to see him get his ass kicked lol...
