I would loved to see him against cotto and still do but after the cotto and margarito fight I would of love to see mayweather vs margarito......

but mayweather is a ***** period......

he droped out of de la hoya fight and retire cuz he didnt want to fight the winner out of cotto and margarito cuz he new he was gonna get his ass handed him by either one.....

but wether anybody likes him or not mayweather is an extremely good fighter i'll give him that but I consider him to be a good enough fighter like sugar ray leanerd, sugar ray robinson, muhamed ali, marvin hagler etc, like he thinks he is.... those fighters fought the best and he is too scared to do that

    my point is like I said he's a *****...

I know everything you should know, if you had skills of observation. Only the extremely generic ****, heavily forecasted, heavily indicated, is worth even mentioning here. Floyd isn't going to be how you see him, bub, he's going to be how he is. Start realizing that. About everything. In general.

Sometimes he cries himself to sleep. If you were paying attention you'd know stuff like that.

The only reason he "fought" Big Show was because the Big Show was picking on his favorite wrestler Ray Mysterio...***** slapped him...choke slammed him...taunting Floyd while doing it. They made sure to make Floyd the hero in that whole situation.

Wrestling is ALL about Heroes and Heels...Big Show was the heel and Floyd was the hero...

When the "fight" came down...FLoyd looked like a cheating ***** who ran out of the ring...scared shitless of Big Show. (It's all acting I know I know)

But I just find it funny how he was made to look like the hero in this instance...

I was shocked Floyd actually retired instead of taking a huge mega money bout against De La Hoya. Wow. I was really shocked. It was a fight he had a good chance of winning and he would have made a fortune again. Even if the numbers weren't like the first it would have been a helluva pay day.

I think his hand problems really bother him, and I think he perceived himself to be on his way to being a billionaire because of his incredibly poor understanding of his own financial status, which is likely encouraged by his accountants who are help him spend it all all the while telling him how rich he is.

If he really knew his net worth he would have taken the DLH rematch.

Also though, I think there is some fear there about his status. I think he is actually afraid of losing, and it effects his willingness to step up.

Probably, if he had one loss, he wouldn't be so freaked out about it and we would see him back down at 140 where he belongs even now.

So, I think the primary reason Floyd retired was a misunderstanding of his own finances combined with a fear of losing.
The secondary reason is that he knows that all of the prime winning welters of his time, none of which he ever faced, could seriously hurt him.

But looking in the rear view mirror, he must see it as a terrible mistake, not taking the DLH rematch.

That was a super great reward / medium risk match and he didn't grab it. Now, if Pac takes on Hatton where does he go?

I betcha his financial situation is SNAFU. He will be back.

Thanks for all the comments and opinions from everyone either if you are against Floyds decisions or you back him up. It's good to see different points of view. I do believe however that all of the people who try to justify Floyd not taking the best at WW would probably in the same situation do the same as Floyd so there no wonder why you would back him if your mentalities and the decisions you would make if you was in that situation is of the same as Floyds, personally if you put yourself in that situation I truly believe that Floyd saw himself as invincible and if he stepped up and lost that precious 0 it would have removed all of his invincibility factor and then fighters would have used the fight as a blue print to fight him so he would have effectively have sparked a revoke and every fighter would have fancied their chances at fighting him. I do believe it boiled down to Floyd knowing that although he has good defensive skills once faced with the big bangers his body would maybe not hold up good under the pressure especially if he was getting his ribs broken by Castillo at 135lbs. I personally think he may have found himself beaten into submission, so he fled before his arse got handed back to him lol
