Probably Miguel's best performance given the quality of opponent he was facing. I had it 7-5 for Cotto, but I firmly believe Mosley would either win clearly by decision or stoppage if they fought again.

Shane wasnt 'off'.... he was just fighting a very good fighter that can fight going forwards, backwards, had awsome timing, used his jab effectively, can slug when he wants and box when he wants....

Cotto had as much to do with Mosley looking 'off' as anything else.

Did Cotto have something to do with Mosley having run out of steam after 3 rounds? I think that was mostly Mosley.

Mosley was throwing just as many punches per round as he did against Margarito, and finished up with a total of 750 punches thrown, so i don't see how he "ran out of steam". Thats total rubbish. Though he was notably disgruntled with the stylistic puzzle. It also wouldn't have helped that Cotto was landing flush fully leveraged shots in each round, and invested to the body.

Mosley threw 73 punches in round 3, 74 in round 4, 69 in round 5. Healthy stats for near ANYONE. He only threw 44 in round 1, was he already gassed upon ring entry? You aren't basing that claim on anything other than pure fabrication.

I dunno but most fighters tend to put their foot off the gas when fighting cotto after getting countered. It was Clotteys sole reason for slowing down... after around the 9th round, If I recall correctly Cotto countered Clotty with two left hooks that had Manny Stew practically yelling "that's it!" You could clearly see Clotty somewhat stunned but cognizant enough to raise his arm as if to say yeah I got the better of that exchange while gingerly trotting back to his corner. Moselys chin is incredible...I always thought Hatton and Cotto have similar power but according to Paulie Malanaggi Hatton can't even compare, I remember watching a youtube interview with Paulie at the Cotto vs Manny press conference in Yankee stadium and he was quite emphatic in saying Cotto hits harder than anyone he's ever fought "its not even close" and it sorta makes you hesitate a bit.

Simply watching how Cotto lands his punches tells you how strong he is. Hatton can punch and wear you out, but Cotto makes you hurt. Didn't Mosley say that Cotto was physically stronger than Margarito in the clinches?

Yes he did....so did Clottey, Clotty mentioned how much stronger Cotto is and how much harder he punches when compared to Margo. What went wrong against Margo? I do not know?

Ok... so cotto had nothing to do with it lol... like an athlete and fighter like mosley just runs out of steam after 9 minutes not due to being fustrated, or discouraged, or loss of momentum, or having shot his load against a fighter good enough to withstand it and overcome it, but just because i guess hes not in shape or... just because?

I really enjoyed that fight. Two of my favorite boxers and you can make a legit case for either guy winning. It was one of those rare fights where both guys gained something. Shane showed he could still hang with a young gun, and Cotto showed he could deal with a Hall of Fame talent like Mosley.

In this fight, I thought Cotto's jab should have counted as a powerpunch. You could clearly see Mosley taking some devastating jabs.
