i don't get why you're all riled up with catweights. i prefer pac to fight cotto, mosley, and pbf at 145 than see him fight nobodies at 140. fighting at 147 isnt possible for pac without putting himself into a huge disadvantage. it's illogical for him to do that

**** is... Pac is running for ****in congress next year. with his next fight coming in this november, it could probably be his last without the mind**** of another lost election (if he loses the vote that is).

Shane is absolutely correct. I think he should get the shot before Cotto especially after the performance against Josh. Although it was a stellar performance and Josh is a VERY good fighter, the fight was ultra close and Shane's fight with Marg was ONE SIDED! Shane has been in the game longer and is a legend....although PAC would be met with ciritisim for fighting either (Shane being old and Cotto being shot) I think its the right thing to do.

Right! But I think they are side stepping Mosely not b/c of Shane but b/c of Bob. PAC's people know PAC is already secure with a very solid legacy. I think they want to build upon it but not as a WW, but as a jr WW who faces BIGGER test since the Jr WW division has a lot of "Fresh" faces that are mostly unproven.

How does beating Margo who, presumably cheated against Cotto, after losing to Cotto make Mosely the true WW Champ? If I remember correctly people were saying Mayweather was the real WW champ prior to Cotto losing to Margo anyway, so how does beating a guy, who beat the guy that everyone said wasn't the guy, make you the guy?

In any event, Mosely is deserving of a fight with Pac, but that doesn't mean that Cotto is not also deserving. Especially since he owns a victory over Mosely. I think Mosely should set his sights on a fight with Floyd, Clottey, or Berto and just accept the fact that a very good entertaining fight is being made between Cotto and Pac. I personally would love to see a Mosely -v- Clottey fight.

Mosley should go after fraud. Relentlessly. ***** slap him in public, something big. Sounds bad but it's his only chance to nail down fraud.

Otherwise Mosley will be frozen out of the really big fights which he rightfully deserves.

I agree except for a fight with him might not be better for Pacquiao fans as it seems much tougher and would stop Pacquiaos great momentum there and then.

He basically already tried that when he went on ESPN with Brian Kenny.

Shane speaks the truth. Arum is the scum of the earth. We won't get Abraham-Pavlik either...

So is he looking for Manny or Miguel for himself? :think

I'd rather see the Cotto rematch tbh. Pac should clear his head of Goliath conquests, spin around, and lay to rest the skeletons that have been chasing him from the lower weights. He doesn't need it, so don't misquote me as saying that - he could retire today as a great. But if he still wants to lace them up and further his legacy, it should be by eliminating all shadow of a doubt that he was head and shoulders above the rest of the best in his old stomping grounds of the sub-140 sandbox. That would actually impress me more than a good showing against a top flight welterweight.

Love this. No reason Floyd can't make 135, gymrat that he is (never a massive welter) and it might bring back some of his old spark and embolden him to slug a little after some feel-out rounds if he can buzz Manny. Or, cutting down after so long could be detrimental (albeit obviously not to a DLH degree) and give Manny an edge. Either way it makes for very compelling stuff.

And Mosley-Cotto II, given their career trajectories since I (plaster or no plaster), needs to happen.

If there was more $ in it....you can bet Arum would go in Mosley's direction.
Mosley needs to concede that his better days are behind him...he is
not that big draw anymore....if he ever was....
He had the fight of his life against Margie...and fought the perfect fight
    plan.
    Sounds like sour grapes !!!!!
Then again he is a warrior....and he wants in the mix !!!!

Is anyone really surprised? Arum pull this crap all the time, he makes fights between his fighter only unless there is something to gain by fighting someone else out side his stable. Arum has never put an honest effort in making a match with floyd and pac, and he sure is not interested in fighting pac with shane.

You're absolutely right. IF...there was more money in fighting mosely....meaning for ARUM, he'd definitley look to make the Shane vs Manny fight. But there isn't more money for Arum....Just for PAC! Since Shane is a Golden boy fighter the promotion will not be all Top Rank...meaning he'll have to share some of the pie. Cotto vs PAC is an all Top Rank Promotion so even though PAC won't be making more dough....ARUM will. Damn jews!:rofl That was just a joke to any Jews here on ESB. There is no question PAC would be making more fighting Shane but Arum has a say in who PAC fights and for him its more about the money he makes than what PAC makes.
