Mosley face had nothing to do with whether he won or lost. He knew it was a competitive and close fight and was just surprised that this time Oscar didn't receive the gift decision.
Technically Oscar should have won the fihgt based on punches landing. he clearly landed more, especially with the jab and did do a decent job of keeping shane at bay. HOWEVER: when mosley did land he landed harder, especially to the body. I dont think Mosley really beat de la hoya its more a case that oscar really did look fatigued and it might have created the impression that mosley was bullying him around as the aggressor and mitigated oscar's boxing effort. And when shane did land to the body a few times around it was hard for the judges to score oscar's jab effectively considering that his power and snap were fading. It's all about perception here. THe judges gave it to the stronger fighter. It may not have been the right decision but these are not the amateurs as it seems all the ringside judges like the qaulity of shanes body punches and the fact he was constatly moving forward.
