i love mosley but he was more mentally fatigued than anything else...even he admitted it. he thought when he caught floyd with that big shot that floyd wouldnt be able to handle it, he also thought that he could bully floyd pre fight all he kept saying is im bigger im stronger this and it just didn't work for him it sent him into one of those outter body experiences where you know your doomed and ain't a damn thing you can do about it.

and don't worry in due time everyone is going to say the same thing about pac if he fights floyd. saying that he just didn't look the same maybe the drug test had an effect on him blah blah blah. school is always open...Line'em up!!!! LOL

You guys keep putting words in my mouth. Why don't actually read my post. I said he gassed by the mid rounds, not the third round.

I don't even see the point in arguing over it. Anyone who's seen mosley at his best knows that was a shell of himself in there. The commentators knew what was going on. Emmanuel steward: "Shane's punches are wobly, not sharp. "It looks like his age has caught up to him." Picture speaks louder then words, and Shane's performance speaks for itself.

No we won't becaue Pac will beat Floyd, and he won't be gassed by the mid rounds and looking like a shot fighter. Floyd will get full credit for beating him, at least from me. The fight has to happen soon though while they're both still at their best.

Yea and floyd have nothing to do with shane looking sloppy. hell shane looks sloppy in plenty of fights. no one expects shane to win a decision. everyone already know that he doesn't adjust well, and everyone knows that he just got a puncher's chance and he is durable. what else is new that we don't already know and needs stewart to tell us as if we can't think for ourselves. stewart never boxed in his life but a talker which a lot of people are qualify for.

floyd already called it that after he beats shane the critics will say shane is too old. Even though, shane is picked to win by a lot of people.

I rewatched the fight also Gander and what i saw was a very smart boxer in that ring in Mayweather. He got stunned but wasnt hurt bad in the 2nd round. I want everyone to watch floyd in between rounds 2 and 3. He first told Roger he was fine and not to put water on his neck. The thing that stood out most to me was that you can notice him trying to look around Roger to look at the jumbo tron replay of those punches to see where he made a mistake at. Floyd was sitting there trying to correct his mistakes during that 1 minute rest. He did exactly that and went on to school Mosley.

Mosley has a history of losing his gameplan if he cant get off or his initial gameplan isnt working...We can date back to the Forrest fight, Winky fight, second DLH...Even you can see the frustrations on Shane's face in the Cotto fight...The point is, he tends to get timid and he freezes up in the process its not due to stamia issues as these guys try to make it out to be!

Mosley didnt posses the jab needed to disrupt Floyd's rythem, nor did he have the proper head movement to counter the lead left hook or the lead right cross...If Mayweather would have been a come-foward type of fighter then these dudes saying that he gassed would be telling a different story, but the fact that Floyd gave him different angles, switche up his defensive stance made Shane look silly at times!

    The bolded portion>>>>

I wanted to touch up on this in detail...When Floyd when to the high guard...that spelled the begining of the end IMO for Shane...I dont think Shane was expecting to see that defensive from Mayweather...Given on how Nazim tries to prepare his fighters for the fight...I dont think Mosley was prepared to deal with a high gaurd..ala Winky Wright type of defense shell...It was a thing of beauty watching him counter Shane from the philly shell and the high guard.:good

i think the problem floyd has got currently is he hasnt fought a fighter in there prime since back in his lightweight days..e.g castillo.
The only fighter i can think of since is hatton..who was to be fair fighting at a weight he wasnt suited to. I still give mayweather credit for the win!!
I give props for his win against mosley but lets get real...despite beating margarito what 16 months ago mosleys prime days are over(pretty obvious).

For floyd to be considered a true great.in my eyes he has to beat a fighter in there prime e.g Pacquaio, williams.
sugar ray fought hearns, duran etc in there primes and as such are held in high regard by boxing fans.

Judah on his prime against Floyd?? What a joke. And Hatton is terrible at 147.

Hatton i give him accolades for..even though he was a light welterweight.

Judah was beaten the fight before by baldomir and in my opinion is overrated by some posters on here..he was beaten everytime he stepped up e.g tszyu, spinks, baldomir(wasnt even a step up).

His lightweight days are still propping up his legacy in my opinion.

You flip flop on so much stuff, which one is

Again, you saying it a fact doesnt make it a fact homie...You're insist on forcing your bias opinion on others...I know you'll be the first to make up excuses. Shane was just fine to fight with Berto but once Floyd's outboxes Shane then we get fans like you that want to toss the word " shot" around.

Yea, and Lampley said that he didn't think Shane's age was to blame, and they all said a whole bunch of **** over the course of the fight. Does anyone actually take anything that Emmanuel Steward says seriously? No matter what happens it's always what he predicted.

Pavlik didn't look particularly powerful against Martinez either. Sometimes the other guys style can do a lot to take steam off of a punch. Simple things like movement and range matter a lot. Shane really needs to be set to throw hard, he needs a stationary target, and he needs his range. Mayweather didn't let him get any of those 3 for very often.

Of course he's not at his physical prime, but he's coming off probably the second biggest win of his career and complete domination of a guy who was supposed to blow him out of the water.

I don't subscribe to the idea that guys get old overnight, sorry. I think Shane will be back, against a more limited but still good fighter, like Berto, and he will look much better than in this fight.
