I agree. He was gunshy, his confidence level was down, it's probably why he resorted to doping. :---(
That was really hard to read. That saddens me. Not to sound like a ****in' weak-tit, but that's some depressing ****. I wonder how this could have taken place in 03 and I'm just hearing of this?
It was obvious to anyone with eyes that he was on roids for the De La Hoya rematch. For years people had been saying he was too small even for welterweight, then suddenly at 154 he looks huge.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1151309/ Before anyone passes comments - Unless you are a Dr - I highly recommend watching this film. Personally - It's not accepted, I don't think its the right message either - But I really don't see it as cheating in the context of a boxing match. It is against the rules. There is the possibility of a NC being recorded against the fight - But I personally don't believe the hype surrounding EPO as anything other than a booster of red blood cell creation in your body to help your training along.
I heard the allegations, of course-but I've never actually read or seen anything documented on the matter.
EPO increases your red blood cell count, like training in high altitude, which helps your stamina. But EPO was just part of what Shane took. He took steroids too.
