So if Floyd wanted Shane so bad in 06 why is there a prob now that Shane wants to fight?

The win wont mean **** now. Shane was coming off a big win over Vargas and since he lost to Cotto and he beat Margarito while Floyd is retired. The time Floyd was calling for the fight was the BEST available time and that would of been Shane instead of Zab/Baldomir or whoever the hell else came inbetween.

But Shane was coming off a huge win over Margarito and has a alphabet strap, insted of going for him which would be huge and give him a spot at the top of the WW division, he reached down 2 divisions to fight a guy who he has no business what so ever fighting, while other Welterweights like Cotto, Mosley and Clottey were calling him out. Remember everyone's been screaming for Cotto/Mayweather so his "who is Miguel Cotto" or "Cotto is not a big draw" won't work here, why not fight Cotto insted (now its too late but I'm talking abut before the Margarito loss) or a actual Welterweight?

Thank you to the author of this thread but these pathetic Mayweather haters will never be satisfied. You don't have to like Floyd thats fine but to hold him to different standards than other fighters is BS. To answer the above post, dude relax. Floyd is coming off a near two year layoff. You think Floyd should fight Shane immediately after a layoff?

I personally hope it's the next fight and not a Cotto/Pac winner because Floyd wins both of those easily. This fight is a makeable fight due to no Arum being involved.

But everyone on this thread is saying "But Floyd called Mosley out already and he said no" and "Floyd already called Cotto out at 140"

My question if Floyd wanted them a few years ago why doesnt he want to fight them now that they want to fight, also why didn't he fight them before his so-called "retirement"?

After Dela Hoya fight, Ricky Hatton called out Floyd did he not? Floyd was signed to fight Oscar in '97 Cinco De Mayo correct? Mosley just fought Collazo in February of that year right.

So basically Mayweather wasn't free June or July right?

AT that time that time Mosley went on to negotiate a fight with Cotto which was signed right around the time Floyd's fight with Hatton was signed. After the Hatton fight why Floyd chose not to make a fight with Mosley well lets see.

Starting with the FACT that Mosley LOST and while I totally DID NOT AGREE at ALL with the pending Dela Hoya II fight that was being discussed, lets be realistic which fight was worth more??

So again all this ducking nonsense doesn't add up when you really explain it to people. Heck I just got banned off another boxing site because the mods are a bunch of Mayweather haters and didn't like how I showed them that the so call offer Arum gave Floyd for Margarito was in fact EMPTY because Arum hadn't paid Floyd for the Judah or Gatti fights. Plus when he fought Baldomir he was offered a pay per view upside and he could still purse his fight with Dela Hoya. Yes I can prove all the above if you'd like.
