Well, it's not just really a matter of the green paper not having "enough gold backing it, currency isn't backed by gold whatsoever. The fiat currencies in circulation are backed only by debt which are backed, basically, by the confidence of the general public and other nations to continue accepting this as a form of payment.

Now, while gold has been hoarded through the ages and used as an instrument of wealth preservation, it is not necessarily the "only" thing worth anything. Silver has also been used for the purpose of wealth preservation and, in fact, has far more uses than gold, not to mention that it is far more scarce.

floyd makes like $20 million per fight, so i'm sure he'll be able to make it rain again in just a couple of fights. the thing is a millionaire can't live like a billionaire without eventually feeling the consequences, but some just don't get that.

Everyone's entitled to their own opinions, not their own facts.

Glad to see Shane getting his own words in. I would love to see him ktfo Mayweather, although that's what PBF gets most people to feel before every fight, and it always ends in the same way.

I saw the interview on ESPNs home page, it was a video interview. Shane didn't look mad at all. He brought it up because the interviewer brought up the subject. The interviewer kept trying to get him to admit that it must get under his skin a little bit because he's human and Shane said Mayweather's comments aren't bothering him.

Again Shane said he'll deal w/ Floyd in the ring.

Shane already looked in great shape from what I saw, they showed brief footage of him on the heavy bag, even though it looked like it looked like he was just going at half speed.

    Scully where is Mulder?

LOL on gold standard. Did you read about that in some pamphlet some dude gave you on the street?

Not even gonna touch the 9/11 comment. I assume you are just mentally handicapped.

    Funny stuff.

If silver is worth more than gold and more scarce...then why aren't their any cash for silver commercials on television. Gold is the most valuable thing in the world it can be condensed down into a liquid form and consumed.

JFK did use silver to earn that 4.83 billion though.

Yeah true but if you've gone to school in America you know that you've been learning a white man's his story (history) so whatever they tell me or say is a lie...bottom line i spend most of my day's learning ourstory.

Actually it isn't stupid and it's very clearly explained.

The thing is that he started looking for this fight ever since he remembered that he couldn't feed his goods with the activities he was having before the Marquez fight.

Let's be absolutely clear about this - he has every right to spend his money the way he likes it but then it's a crime to owe money to the Government. And if you are running into crime, you gat to plan in order to avoid it, not to throw paper at the cameras!!!

I disagree we should go into lack of liquidity in the market on this issue. He has managers so they should have known better! The rest is evident, Floyd brings smelling matters to the table, Mosley strikes back, it's not like Shane can't speak english...

Rising costs of manufacturing and servicing industies and the rising costs being passed onto the consumer. There are many reasons for inflation, whats your point?
