Mosley: I Was Concerned About Going Toe-To-Toe With Pacquiao

    Now, you'll note: Mosley was happy to trade punches with people like Mayweather, ODLH and many others. Remember, this is Iron Chin Shane Mosley. Only been knocked down by Vernon Forrest in 54 fights before last night.

    Yet Mosley was scared of Pacquiao's power and speed, apparently.

    A lot of people are trying to say that after last night, they feel better about Mayweather's chances against Manny Pacquiao.

    I disagree. What we learned last night, if we didn't already know it, is that Pacquiao has very heavy (and fast) hands. Heavy enough to drop the Sugar Man for only the third time in his career and heavy enough to make Mosley The Warrior become Mosley The Fearful.

    In other words, if Manny Pacquiao can hurt and scare iron chinned-Mosley as he did last night, imagine what he could do if he landed on Mayweather?

    Some people think Mayweather would be more eager to face Pacquiao after last night.

    I disagree. Floyd does not want to get hit with what Mosley did. It's one thing to lose your "0." It's another thing to get KTFO.

    The Pac-Cotto fight made Team Mayweather nervous, that seems pretty clear based upon the "PED" debacle that followed.

    Well if Pac-Cotto made Team Mayweather nervous, how do you think Round 3 last night made Team Mayweather feel?

    I'm more confident than ever that Pacquiao-Mayweather never gets made. Last night was a step further away from that fight, not a step closer, in my opinion. For Team Mayweather.

    This fight will never happen. Floyd is only interested in easy money at this point in his career.

    Let's remember, Mosley is a 100% shot fighter. He did not pull the trigger at all and his punch resistance and stamina clearly showed deteriaration.

    I'm a Pacquiao fan, but really, it's stupid to compare his early fights with this.

    Could Mosley have even pulled the trigger if he wanted to? Probably not... thank you for being objective. Let's end this thread (Though, Paul won't let that happen).

    Mayweather-Pacquiao will not ever happen. Never. Floyd would get blitzed the **** out.

    if only floyd would listen to his fans now. they saw something about pacquiao last night that led them to believe that this would be an easy fight for floyd.

    And that's Pre-Mosley. Forget about A-Side Meth. We're talking A Thru Z-Side Meth after that left hand that dropped Iron Chinned Mosley. Team Mayweather doesn't want to deal with that level of power, in my opinion.

    Yeah, once Mosley felt that power early he didn't want any more of that. And to be honest, I can't really blame him.

    If Shane was in there with a prime Mike Tyson I might be a little lenient but come on! Real warriors have the mentality of knocking someone out or get knocked out himself. Hell, Morales even went southpaw just for the sake of entertaining himself. JMM touched the canvas 4 times and never even thought about running. If Ortiz or Berto had been in there with Pac last Saturday, either guy might've gotten KO'd but at least you know they'd have the balls and hunger to go toe to toe with Pac.

    Pac will give anyone problems at 147 or below. Lucky haymaker aside, he would destroy any brawler. He would beat a good boxer. But because of a few holes in his game he will likely get out-boxed by a superb boxer.
