Mosley: I Was Concerned About Going Toe-To-Toe With Pacquiao

Of course he was concerned. Mosley ran away the whole fight and still got dropped for only the 4th time in his career. Imagine him going toe to toe with Pac seemingly beating him to every punch.

Shane's only chance was wait for Pac to come in, make a mistake, then unload his big right hand. He did land that right on Pac's head a few times which did nothing to back up Pac. What Shane is saying here is what everyone saw. No explanation needed. I guess Floyd will remain on vacation looking for that urge. :yep

 

although Floyd does not hit as hard or have as much power...he is far more accurate and consistant with his shots and his power is decent enough to garner Pac having to respect what Floyd's doing meaning his punch output will drop as well.

The only thing I learned fromlast night is that Mosley is shot and should retire.

 

Mike Tyson was aggressive, powerful and fast, but when he got into the ring with those who had the skills to beat him none of the above mattered. Floyd has those skills that none of Manny opponents possessed. Manny fighting Floyd would be his greatest risk because he knows Floyd is unlike anyone he's ever faced. Floyd has never faced an opponent with all of Manny attributes, but between both fighters Floyd have fought more diverse styles then what Manny has faced and has dealt with aggressive, pressure fighters most of his career. He stands a better chance of prevailing in a show down between them then Manny does. This is boxing and anything can happen, but I'll still put my money on Floyd.

 

Can't blame Mosley. After round three he decided not to take anymore chances and just survive the 12 rounds without being KNOCKED OUT.

 

Are you serious? JMM and Morales are not big punchers and they out-boxed Pac. You're talking like Pac has no flaws at all. They were exposed in the Mosley fight and they can be exploited by an intelligent boxer such as Floyd. I give JMM a decent chance if he brings his A game and gets Pac to fight him at a reasonable weight. Khan might have a chance too given the fact that he's sparred with Pac and has picked up valuable knowledge from Roach. I'm not saying it will be a walk in the park for anyone fighting Pac. But my money is on the greater boxer who can adjust. Pac doesn't adjust. He just fights with pressure and aggression. As you can see in the Mosley fight he was frustrated with Shane's lateral movement and wasn't sure how to be more effective. It's easy to look good against faded or undetermined fighters. I'm not sold yet.

Marquez is badly faded and has no chance at 147 or 140. The man is getting hit by mediocre fighters like never before, is slowing in the legs, and doesn't have the same shaprness that helped him so well against Pacquiao years before. He'd be stopped for the first time in his career. Marquez is slipping fast. Bradley is a better fight for Pacquiao.
