Yeah, Shane is a jab flicker but Richardson had him stiffening it up a little bit against Margarito. Not making great by any means, but maybe he's getting him out of the flicking habit a little bit more. I hope. When Shane throws it properly with bad intentions, it's a good tool for him.

if height mattered, Joe Frazier, Tyson and Floyd Patterson would have never been champions. Without a jab, height is just an unattractive attribute.

Shane and jab don't really belong in the same sentence. Unless of course, Nazim is working on it...

Shane is right. If Floyd stays at range and trys to potshot he will get countered and jabbed. De la Hoya controlled the fight easy in the first rounds before getting tired. Floyd is not as good as u think he is, he just beat the right opponents for his style (smaller people).

He fought 2 smaller fighters. I am not sure where the "smaller people" comment is derived as if he did not fight 38 other fighters who were his size or bigger. You can't win titles in 5 different weight classes beating people smaller than you. Unless you go from Heavyweight and keep losing weight. Or some version of that idea.
Also, De La Hoya was NEVER winning the fight with a jab. Floyd was not near him enough to be out jabbed. This is just media hype. Watch the fight.

The guy was lineal champion at junior-lightweight for god's sake and is competing 17 pounds higher and was the man there as well. you dont win 5 titles in 5 weights without fighter bigger guys. Marquez was naturally smaller, Hatton was a career long junior-welterweight and Mayweather only moved up cause hATTON SAID HE WASNT READY 4 HIM. Mayweather has faced all styles...boxers(gENERO Hernandez and Corley) COUNTERPUNCHERS ( Zab Judah and Marquez) swarmers( Carlos Hernandez and Jesus Chavez) brawlers(Gatti) punchers( Corrales) and boxer punchers(Castillo)

Mayweather has the highest boxing IQ in the sport and even his devoted haters acknowledge that

U people need to watch the first rounds with De la Hoya.Floyd punches weren't reaching DLH head because of his hight and him being used to fight shorter fighters. With Mosley he will need to get inside and he doesnt have the balls to do that.He will be on the run as soon as he gets caught by a bomb. 118-110 mosley

sounds like wishful thinking to me....Oscar didnt just stop jabbing. Mayweather took it away. Countering over the top, jabbing to the head and body. did you even watch the fight. Mayweather has defeated taller fighters before and DLH was the only one he didnt stop....Hernandez, Corrales, and NDOu were all 5'10" or taller and he stopped them all. You know and I know Mosley is gonna try and impose his will flicking a jab and will get frustrated getting countered and outjabbed by the more skillful smarter fighter.

If it is his gameplan than I say he's in deep trouble.

He's near he's 40, maybe great at this age but still it's not his peak... And we can't judge this on his fight with 'finally not cheting' Margarito. Margo is a SLOB compared to PBF speed wise.

And even in he's prime I don't believe SSM outboxes Mayweather.

Edit: Mayweather power is often underrated.
