A game dog is comparable to a game fighter, or any other game animal..Well we agree body work will be a big factor... I'm not saying Floyd won't land cleaner, I just don't think it will be enough and powerful enough to deter Mosley. Floyd is not an offense minded Cotto which Mosley faced.

Mosley does NOT have the advantage in arm length. Mayweather has the same arm length (meausred from the armpit to the end of the fist) as Wladamir Klitschko (26"). Mosley has an arm length of 25", so Mayweather has a one inch arm length advatange, not Mosley. Mosley may have a longer reach (measured across the chest from fingertip to fingertip), but that is useless in boxing where you wear gloves and long fingers don't mean ****. The arm length is the true reach, and that is why HBO goes by that and not reach. In addition, Mosley fights more square and gives up some of his arm length, so when you factor that in, Mayweather will have a 2-3 inch arm length advantage.

I've had trouble finding true arm length measurements for either guy since boxrec and the Tale of the Tape often show just wingspan. Where did you find this? Just curious.

That speaks to my statement that he can't adjust. A fighter with a high ring IQ could see this and come up with a plan B or even C. Mosley isn't the type of fighter who has a plan B if his plan A doesn't work he can't make the necessary adjustments and gets frustrated.

I've said before, but I think that Shane's best chance to win is to do a lot of the same things he did with Margo. Hold, clinch, push, make it ugly when he needs to to keep Floyd from settling into his comfort zone. This is, of course, the exact opposite of what he's talking about, which is outboxing Floyd, which is why I think Shane is mostly blowing smoke here. Even if he doesn't know it, Nazim surely knows that Mosely needs to beat Mayweather up, not just try to outbox him.

Like another poster said, he spend 12 rounds expecting the same thing. He should have adjusted, but he's just not that guy.

With his intelligence a long with his athletic gifts and physicality he can be as offensive minded as Miguel Cotto...

Floyd Mayweather is not a one trick pony he doesn't just sit in a defensive shell or pot shot when that's not the strategy he needs to win. IF he needs to be more offensive then trust and believe that he will let his hands go.

I'm really a fan of Floyd not just a guy who watches boxing I've seen every Floyd Mayweather fight and just about every Shane Mosley fight and Mosley gets fustrated when things don't go his way...and Floyd knows that I mean he sat in the front row for both of his fights with Oscar. With that said if you show fustration against Mayweather its going to be a long night.:bbb

At least he's right in that he has to stop the potshotting. He must not allow Floyd to sit back, relax, bob away from headhunting, and then steal the round with a couple of simple potshots. That's how Oscar lost the fight, when he astonishingly was winning rounds before. Oscar was headhunting too much and didn't hit Floyd, but then ate the potshots like popcorn when he had to rest directly infront of Floyd, flatfooted. They didn't hurt him at all, but, they counted against him. That's how he lost 7 rounds, maybe 8 if your score right.

There is only one way Shane will win this : make the fight ugly. Hug, clinch, wrestle, whatever.

I am certain this will be the strategy. I am so sure that Mosley does not have the stamina to be chasing or punching the entire 12 rounds, and he needs clinching to rest, ala-Margarito fight. He may be fit but he is not ring fit, and there is a big difference. Anybody looks good shadow punching or hitting a bag, but when hitting a fighter who moves is entirely different, like doing 15 rounds of shadow boxing will not guarantee you will not gas out before the 9th round.

Aggression is what Mosley needs in this fight to seriously trouble Mayweather and he has the power, speed and skills to apply an affective aggressive strategy. If he goes in there hoping to outbox and waits he's going to lose by UD and clearly.

Spot on the mark, I'm hoping he knows that any attempts to outbox PBF would be decision-suicide.
