Mosley is to slow of foot to keep up with May. If he tries to outbox Money it'll look like Hagler Leonard only much much worse.

I dont really think hand size has much to do with power/durability... I suppose smaller hands would be deadlier in bareknuckle fights with cuts and what not, while larger hands would provide more impact....

But the reason why i say i dont think they are relevent is, in these days, with proper technique, good gloves, professionals wrapping your hands.....

I take it all to dumb luck... Because when your fighting in the heat of the moment, you might throw a punch with a half clench fist or w/e

But once you get that injury, your hand is ****ed. and it always gets worse.

I just think floyd got unlucky with a combo of bad tech and genes...

    same with calzaghe

I don't think Shane can outbox Floyd. If his jab lands that is a different story, but I do not think it will.

bIGGER HANDS MEANS BIGGER BONES, THEREFORE, LESS PRONE TO INURY RELATIVE OF COURSE TO SOMEONE WHO HAS SMALLER HAND.

Don't believe this hype...he's not going to play 'chess' with Floyd. Shane is going to make this a dog fight, cutting off the ring, trapping Floyd in corners and against the ropes, throwing blinding flurries. This will be a hunter/prey fight. Here is how Mosley thinks: Shane is tired of being looked over as lesser than Mayweather, tired of being mentioned as 2nd fiddle to a guy who fighters older, smaller, lesser skilled but bigger name fighters ,who are usually from lower weight classes, instead of taking on the big dogs in his own division, and tired of hearing about how good Floyd is in contrast to him all the while. Shane is going to try to make a war of this fight, attacking hard and fast with lots more pressure than Floyd has ever dealt with...MAKE Floyd FIGHT instead of box. He's not trying to box from the outside and slip punches. That's not Shane's style. This is all just pre-fight talk to hype the fight and make people think...but think about this: fighters usually SAY one thing in the lead up to the fight, then DO something totally different.

Floyd may not even take this fight, though, because he may be risking losing a $40-$50mil payday with Pacquiao by potentially losing to Mosley. I think he'll pull out of this fight if/when Pacquiao wins against Clottey, then MAYBE fight Mosley afterward if/when he beats Manny. Money talks, and Floyd is all about MONEY. It only makes sense that he'd secure the bigger payday before taking more risk for smaller pay. That's just how Floyd works. So hope for the best that this fight will happen, but guard your heart and expect the worst, because it still may not.

The Marquez fight was signed, sealed and not delivered in the summer of 2009...it was delayed until September. That was not because of injury. It was a fight that wasn't selling tickets, so it was rescheduled for Mexican Independence Day, when more fans would DEFINITELY pay to see the fight. More MEXICAN fans. That raises the importance of the fight, as well as Floyd's check. MONEY talks.

Don't be surprised if Floyd makes a money move again.

The real issue isn't the size of the bones, but the density. If you have brittle hands, it's usually because the bones are less dense, which makes them weaker and more likely to fracture. Vitamin D helps absorb Calcium, vitamin C helps support structural integrity, and the impact of punching creates microfractures in your hands, which are filled in by blood cells which repair the damage and make the bones less porous (brittle), or more dense, solid. Having a more non-porous (solid) bone structure helps add to the strength of a punch.

Example: Let's say you have 2 baseball bats of equal weight....one being hollow plastic and the other being solid wood. If you swing both bats at an object at the same speed, which one will do the most damage? The wood bat will...because even though it's the same weight and speed as the hollow plastic bat, it's much more dense. The density of the wooden bat adds integrity to the strike, causing a more powerful blow.

SPEED + STRENGTH = POWER. If you have 2 objects going at the same speed, but one is stronger than the other, the stronger object will have more power upon impact. If you have 2 objects of the same strength, but one is faster than the other, the faster object will have more power upon impact. If you have 2 guys of the same size and speed punching at each other, but one guy is much stronger than the other, then the stronger guy will pack a more powerful punch.

We already know that Shane can crack quite a wallop, and that Floyd's chin may not be the greatest, as witnessed in the Corley and Judah fights...but can Floyd hit fast enough to make up for the power he lacks in contrast to Mosley? And what happens if a fighter of Mosley's power actually connects solidly with Floyd? If Shane fights as hard and fast as he has in the past, this will be quite a battle.
