No. There won't be any excuses if Mosley knocks Floyd out. If that happens, I'll congratulate Mosley and hope for a rematch.

Edit: Furthermore, I wouldn't consider either guy "more experienced". I consider them on an equal level in terms of that. Guys like Hopkins, Jones, Mosley, Mayweather, etc., have been around the fight game for so long that you're just splitting hairs if you try to say one is "more experienced" than the other.

Well Mosley IS 38. No one is making excuses, but Floyd is obviously not fighting a prime Mosley here.

At his age one year without fighting can be very damaging.

Semantics. Its still a great fight. Both are exceptional atheletes who are always in tip top shape.

    True.

Neither are in their prime now, but lets face it, it's hardly going to be a dull fight, i think Mayweather may mix it up quite a bit and throw Mosley off his game.

I will be interested to see how Mayweather reacts to Mosleys power if he lands flush, I've got real high hopes for this one

Floyd has had hand trouble his entire career. Thats why he doesnt really sit on his punches since moving up in weight. At 130 he was an absolute joy to watch.

It could be a factor. If he is rusty for a few rounds Mayweather can get the momentum and build his confidence and rhythm. By that point it might be hard for Mosley to get back in the fight. But Mosley should come out aggressive and see how his jab does with Mayweather. Amazing is that Mayweather during the fight on May 1st, will be older than Duran was when he lost to Hearns. Floyd will be the age Duran was not Mosley, and Floyd and Mosley are near the same age difference as Hearns and Duran were. So it is not a huge difference.
