Was reading a recent article and found this

    http://www.thesweetscience.com/boxing-article/7825/boxing-world-disrespecting-mosley/

If I was a betting man I would take those odds!

Does anybody think that Mosley is getting really underrated here, especially by the oddsmakers?

I can understand 2-1, maybe 3-1 but for 4-1 is alot it seems

the bookies are not dumb - believe that SSM is the underdog and 4-1 is just about right to temp people to place a bet without give too good odds.

4-1 is good from the bookmakers but it would probably need to go to 8-1/9-1 to get me to stick a bet on.

It shouldn't be a close fight.

Yeah Mosley is possibly a very tough fight for Mayweather. He's still quick even at 38, and obviously has power.

Mayweather rarely takes dangerous fights, but maybe he's underestimating Mosley a bit here. And the bookmakers are doing the same.

    Mosley could stop Mayweather

What's the odds on a stoppage for:
    Mosley
    Mayweather
    Fight not going distance

Those are the bets I'll be taking because
    a. anything is possible
    b. the odds will be insane for any of those

Thats what Im saying. I agree that Mayweather should be a heavy favourite, but this is the toughest opponent Floyd has faced in his career. Tougher than Castillo, Corrales, and definately his hardest test at welter.

Yeah, the article states that Foreman was a 12-1 favourite against Ali, and Ali was thought to be shot. We saw what happened there. You just never know.....

Unless the bookies know something we don't-the 4-1 odds look very good.I think Mosely has a real shot in any event.

This is going to be especially sweet when Sugar Shane knocks PBF out.

4-1 sounds about right to me. Mosley is a typical stalker but even his right hand is quite wide, almost like a right hook instead of straight right. Its gonna be hard for him to catch PBF but if he does, he hurts him and has good chance of finishing him. I think Mayweather outboxes him to a clear UD though.

Smart business decision by the bookies... and it sounds right to me. Mosley is getting decisioned wide in this one.
