Mosley is a true gentleman.

Yup - classy guy and a hell of a fighter. Too bad he felt he had to resort to roids, though.. very dissapointing. Still like the guy though. When I was living in San Diego, I made sure I went to go see him fight in Vegas (against Callazo), and am glad to have seen him in person - especially the show he put on that night.

 

I loved his bowing after he put Margarito down for the final time.

So ****ing classy, I had to applaud in my living room.

 

That's Margarito's belt. Margarito keeps it forever. They will make Shane a new one. He was basically saying "you were the champ and although i beat you, you will always be a champ."


Pretty cool of him, I thought.

 

If there is one person who could knock out Margarito, one of if not my favorite present boxer, and still have my respect it is Sugar Shane Mosley. After that performance he might be one of my favorite boxers, I always liked him as a gentleman and warrior, but he has earned my respect as an ATG so late in his career.

I agree, and it reminded me of Sugar Ray Robinson's bowing at Madison Square Garden. Two classy Sugars.

yep mosely is a true champ in every sense of the word.

that's why i find it easy to be a fan of wladimir, pacman, mosely etc etc.

for example when my mate asked me who i was going to barrack for i said mosely. because i like both fighters for their styles but when im divided i always back the nicer guy which mosely is definitely.

same thing will happen in the haye/klitschko fight. i love watching both fighters do their thing, but because klitschko is the nicer of the two, i find it easy to back him in this fight.

that's something i do every fight where i am a fan of both fighters. who ever is the gentleman i back.

 

I have always enjoyed watching Mosley. He is a gentleman in and out of the ring. the controversy of the Balco thing is going to haunt him for a while but other than that you can't dislike Mosley. More boxers should be like him.
