I'm going to create some scenarios for you guys so that it will paint a picture in your mind to see what I mean by my prediction.

    (1) If Shane plays the aggressor, then he's going to get picked apart. If Shane finds himself behind, he will take the risk of leaving himself open and get stopped.

    * Shane doesn't have a good jab and he would need a solid jab to get in on Mayweather.
    * Shane doesn't cut of the ring well. Shane is a boxer puncher so he's not going to be able to set off a measured attack following Mayweather (He will follow).
*Shane is not going to take going the distance being shutout so he's going to take some chances. Anyone who watched Floyd fight before know that he's most dangerous late in the fight and if you take chances you'll get stopped. People talk about Marquez, that guy is a good defensive fighter and he doesn't take chances and he played his part to go the distance. Add to that Floyd looked at that as a tune up fight, he was showing another dimension and won every round.

Shane can't out think Floyd so if he turns it to a boxing match, then he still sets to get stopped because he will stop punching effectively after 5 rounds and have periods when you don't even punch at all and he's just teeing off on you. Shane will take severe punishment. Floyd is faster than anyone he's ever faced and he's more skilled than any guy who beat him. Floyd is more skilled period. Not only will this be an easy fight, it will be one of FLoyd's best performances. He will wear down Mosley, make him look bad, make him desperate, and then stop him. Mayweather has something to prove, he's not the champion any more. Floyd is 6-0 when challenging for the title. This isn't any different.

    (2) Shane is going to take some calculated body shots ... jabs ... straight rights ... hooks ... all to the body and that doesn't account for the head shots - mixed in with the defense. Shane will give it all he's got for 5 rounds or so then fade off considerably. He didn't look all that sharp when he knocked out Margarito. He caught Margarito with a wild shot. The same goes for his last few fights ... his fight with Cotto he struggled down the stretch, he was given fits by Mayorga and was in jeopardy of losing the fight until the late KO. Shane also looked shitty the second time against DLH ... he had periods when he didn't throw a punch.

It's going to be a lot of bouncing and stiff movements from Shane ... his pattern throughout the fight would be set and reset then bounce some more. Shane is too stiff to be able to punch on the go, especially against a guy who's not going to give him any breaks. Thats the same thing that happened to Diego Corrales.

Questions about retirement will come for Shane after this fight.

Couldn't disagree anymore with the thread title.

This will be Floyd's most difficult fight since the first Castillo fiasco.

Forrest could not stop Mosley after hitting him with everything but the kitchen sink with power.. Floyd cannot stop Mosley. Mosley is too damned tough and aggressive.

Forrest wasn't the same fighter as Floyd. There's no way that they fight the same. Styles make fights and this one will be one match up that isn't favorable to Shane Mosley in the aspect of boxing. Just because Forrest wasn't able to expose Shane doesn't mean that it couldn't be done.

Just because Shane Mosley hasn't been stopped doesn't mean that it won't be done. People said the same thing about Margarito ... and I said that Shane would get the stoppage.

What some people are forgetting, Mosley is the best fighter Floyd has fought. It goes both ways.

That's true. If anything, because of his age and slight decline, Mosley might be the most vulnerable to get ko'd than he's ever been in his career, so that might increase Floyd's chances of stopping him. But the unexpected always happens in boxing. Just like only some thought Sergio Martinez would be a competitive fight for Williams and even much less would of thought he'd knockdown and hurt the man that went 12 with Margarito and has never been floored and on the verge of being stopped. Maybe Floyd can take a Mosley bodyshot, maybe he can't. Floyd was dropped by a Judah right hook, I don't see how he can't be dropped by a Mosley right. Mosley might not be the boxer Floyd is, but he doesn't have to be. He's not too far off in the speed department either, but at 38 he's pretty damn fast.

Void refused to fight Mosely while Mosely was younger. Did Void get Mosely to agree to throw the fight? Void does not like a level playing field.
