The truth is when Mosley declined to defend his lightweight title against Floyd in order to DLH ... then when Floyd was the welterweight champion/WBC champion, Mosley was the madate for Floyd and declined to fight all together then ended up challenging Cotto instead. This has nothing to do with Floyd, now that Floyd has the opportunity to show that he's better than Shane, it's going to show a lot. There is no comparison.

The only reason fitzgeraldz is so confident of a Floyd K.O. is because he's Floyd's Lidocaine supplier.

Floyd won't stop him but he will make Shane look old on May 1st. Mosley is really getting up there at 38 and will have had a 15 month layoff on the night of the fight. Mosley is a great fighter but Floyd will make him look bad.

It's unfortunate that people know the facts are still in denial. There's video of Mosley turning down the fight. His father and manager are both on the record saying Shane turned down at least three opportunities to fight Floyd.

I wish I could say that!
Dude if you are saying that Mosley is 30 yrs old now then I will agree! But too bad the fight came in the tail end of Mosley's career! He's 38 yrs old and a fraction of his old self!

Funny thing is that some pbf FANS believe he's prime at 38 and wants to get full credit when pbf wins:rofl:lol::rofl

I just hope Mosley defy's logic! :hey

All Mosley needs is one bit of luck and down goes Floyd. Very slim chance of winning but it's a chance enough for Mosley.

Floyd has been used to fighting older, slower, "one-dimensional", smaller, and lesser fighters this past decade. This is the first real threat since Corrales (R.I.P.). Shane has the reach, height and strength advantages. Speed + Strength = Power...so Shane, being equal in speed to Floyd but much stronger, will have the power advantage. Shane has great fists and throws many combinations, attacking aggressively. He truly is a 'power boxer', as the name of his style indicates. Floyd can almost only box, as he said, "I'm a pure boxer". He doesn't mix it up, toe-to-toe in the middle of the ring with anybody. He's either on offense throwing 1 or 2 punch combinations...3 at the most (if you're lucky! it's usually jab-and-out, straight right-and-clinch, or left hook-and-push, with the occasional 2-piece)...or he's on his 'bike' in a defensive posture. Unless you're a punching bag like Gatti (R.I.P.) was. Mosley can box or brawl, hunt his man down, and cut off the ring to apply a serious beating. Plus he has Nazim Richardson in his corner, who's a master planner.

Floyd has his uncle Roger as trainer...or does he? I'm not sure if he'll be able to train Floyd for this fight with the trouble he's been in. Either way, Floyd's style is always the same, so he's sort of like a '1-trick pony', always fighting the same way. Granted, nobody's solved the puzzle yet, but I believe Mosley can (and I also believe Floyd lost the 1st Castillo fight, though the win is on paper). And Floyd has brittle hands. He takes Xylocaine shots. I bet that numbs the pain faster than you can say PERFORMANCE ENHANCING DRUGS so he can throw bigger punches. Mosley has a granite chin, a steel will, and Floyd won't have enough power to keep Mosley honest. Mosley will respect Floyd's speed and defense, but not his power. That'll just make Shane more cautious in his stalking before he cuts off the ring and unloads against Floyd while he's on the ropes. Floyd has a somewhat suspect chin (knocked down by Zab and nearly out by Corley if he had a 'killer instinct' to follow up with another good punch or 2).

Ever tried reading words going across the screen, like on ESPN? The faster the words move, the harder it is to process the sentences. Liken that to Mosley's brutal assaults and lightening fast combinations. How fast can Floyd 'read' the punches? And how long can he keep that up if his back is to the ropes while he's being swarmed on?

If the fight goes the distance, it's hard to pick. I can't see Floyd outpunching Shane...but Floyd's defensive backpedalling might be on another level this time. If there's a KO, it'll be Shane KO'ing Floyd. Edge: Shane, with the possibility of a decision for Floyd, but a slim one. Maybe.

Remember: Floyd fought the overmatched Hatton and it was nearly an even fight before he stopped him in the late rounds. Floyd fought Oscar and won a CONTROVERSIAL SPLIT DECISION. A lot people (arguably most people, besides Floyd's fans and the 2 judges who ruled it for Floyd) thought Floyd lost.

Shane is a MUCH more live fighter than Oscar.

Floyd with his pitter pat punches won't KO Mosley. He punches just don't have the leverage.
