Not many boxers would be as graceful in defeat as he was. He lost a close fight, the normal reaction is 'i was robbed" etc, not him. I think he can look back with pride at a formidable performance against one of the if not the best welterweight around, at age 36 nearly winning. It was very interesting to see the roles reverse around round 6 with Cotto backing up. Mosley takes a very good shot too, by the way. Cotto landed beautiful, short, unseen punches that would've knocked a lot of boxers out.
Yes I've always respected Mosley for his professionalism and for always being so humble and down to earth. :good
If one round is scored the other way, we have a draw. Thats how close this fight was. I sensed Shane gave it his all and fell a hair short. I think he is smart enough to not take another bruising rematch at his age. He has nothing to prove.
You know, he did claim he won the rematches with Forrest and Wright and said he had Winky "holding on for dear life".
Yup hes a good guy I just hope he can manage to get another big fight so we can see him one last time. Cotto 2,Tszyu,Hatton or Cintron would intrigue me.
Like I said before this fight, win or lose, BALCO or not.. I don't really care.. Shane is one of the nicest guys you can meet.. he's class, good for boxing.
much respect to Mosley one of my favorite fighter and a good guy all around i would love to see him fight still i think he got something Left in the tank.
