When a fighter ages, it is not the power that goes, it is the stamina, or endurance. Against Margarito, once Mosley tires, he clinches as Margarito is never mobile. But Mosley still has the power to rock Margarito.

Jesus, and I can't believe how people can not see how a fighter ages. Look at Ali in his waning years. Although he was winning, he tends to do a lot of clinching, and the movement is very measured to conserve energy.

 

your saying he got tired within 2 rounds, shane couldnt find a way in thats why he couldnt get any combo's.

 

Bull****! Mosley isn't shot at all, he simply fought THE best fighter and lost. I think Mosley would still beat the sleeves off of any welterweight not named Floyd Mayweather. And that includes Pacquiao!

I am one of Floyds greatest detractors but the man deserves props for his performance last night, the way he fought suprised me and probaly did Shane, Shane did look old but that was largely because of the boxing and atheletic ability of Mayweather, I dislike his character whether it is an act or not but there is no disputing that he is the most talented boxer in the game,Maybe if this fight had happened five or ten years ago things wld have been different but then again they might have just came to the same conclusion with the exception of Mosley looking so knackered

 

mosley is not shot to pieces ! he was shot to pieces.you watch the 24-7 and listen to mayweather sr and roger, shane did the exact same thing they sayed mosley would do.

fight jittery and paw with that weak ass jab, to try to set up the power shots.and he has know defence, shane's best defence has always been his offence.but again like mayweather sr sayed, it dont matter how good you can fight, if you dont have any kind of defence you will get beat up.

shane was not able to adjust and he was not in there with a mexican fighter.no disrespect to mexican fighters im just saying ! mayweather is also alot stronger then people think he is and shane was not able to bully him like he thought he would.

not only that but shane always felt he was just as fast as mayweather, not only is mayweather faster with his hands but his refelxes,timing,legs and upper body - head more important is faster then shane as well.

shane mosley ate jabs and right hands all night, just like he did with vernon and winky and cotto.and even oscar then 2nd time around.his blue print was printed out years ago.cotto was able to outbox shane on ***** st for 2 rds(where they do that at ?).

they blue print was already printed out on how to beat shane, mayweather followed it to a T.wich leads me to believe that wether this fight was not or 10 yrs ago, the results would have been the same.maybe a little bit more harder for floyd but shane still eats the right hands and jabs and still uses his offence as a defence.

and at 38 like mayweather sr sayed all that **** nazim was teaching him when out the window after then 2nd rd.shane did what he does and that was to fight and he got beat up like mayweather sayed.

 

Everyone seems to have this habit of looking old and shot when they fight Floyd. Do you think Floyd may have something to do with it?

 

Every opponent that PBF wins over suddenly is shot/didn't come to fight/was cherry picked etc. etc. Always the same song. Before the fight "PBF will be exposed" and then "That guy was a bum, shot, slow, old".

It's getting tiring folks.

 

That's the difference between boxing guys who sit in front of Shane like statues, waiting to be hit and fighting an elusive PBF. Floyd just doesn't allow you to unload big powerful combos because he isn't stationary, he's not standing in front of you for longer than a blink of an eye.

If you want to hit Floyd multiple times you have to hunt him down and run after him and that removes a lot of the power the toe-to-toe punchers have.

 

I don't believe Mosley is shot to pieces. Sure, he is not as sharp or as good as he was in his prime, but he was still the best fighter and toughest challenge to date for Mayweather, and Money did what he had to do.

I don't like Floyd's personality, but I admire his skills and ring IQ. I can also understand what he meant when his critics talk about him no matter who he fights or how he wins.

I mean, come on, he beat the best welterweight out there (if you can name a better welterweight that Shane Mosley before this fight, please let me know who).

I'm not a Floydette or a *******. I'm a fan of boxing and great fights. So, I have a question for the Floyd haters: If Floyd Mayweather fights Manny Pacquiao and beats him, does that mean Floyd cherrypicked Manny? Was Manny too small? Was he distracted? Did he get old overnight? Did he not recover fully from his previous wars, including his battle with Cotto?

You see what I'm getting at? I mean, if you are going to hate the guy, hate the guy for a valid reason. Like I said, I can't stand the guy's attitude and personality. However, I cannot deny that when it comes to boxing, the art of hitting without getting hit, nobody does it better than Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
