Clottey was the only legitimate welter he faced how is that better than any one else.....DLH ( weight drained 154lber) Cotto he fought at 145...


Last I checked Mosley beat the man who beat both clottey and cotto and mosley beat DLH twice.....

The Ring rankings are the closest thing boxing has to "official". While you can say that you feel like Mosley is the best Welterweight, it's incorrect to say he's the #1 ranked Welterweight, because he isn't. That's all I'm saying.

And Mosley lost to Cotto and never fought Clottey. He didn't fight the Margarito they fought, either.

 

Mosley is 39, very past it, and has a year long layoff. No excuses, just the truth. Margarito is a punching.

It's funny seeing some of these posters talk about how it's just excuses and people not giving credit to Floyd. They are the same ones insisting on Pac and other fighters fighting shot fighters and use every excuse in the book.

thing is we have no idea if Mosley is a great fighter - he is at an age where any fight could be the fight where he ages. I hope he puts on a good performance and we see a good SSM. But I worry Floyd is gonna make a joke out of him,

 

Pacs win over DLH should not be rated as high as some here rate it, the win was decent but there are real factors in that win some factors that nuthuggers refuse to own up to.

 

Not really, Pac fans just hate seeing ******s act like Pac was cherry picking DLH when almost everyone thought that was a circus fight and Pac was gonna get killed. As far as credit, sure Pac fought a past it, drained Hoya, true. Just like Mosley is close to being shot.

Mayweather is fighting a Mosley thats coming off KO's of Mayorga and Margarito, and fighting at his best weight class.

I don't even care if Mosley loses at this point, but I want to see him put up a damn good, SMART fight! I'm just afraid a very old Mosley will show up.
I'll give some credit even if MAyweather beats this version of Mosley, but I'd give mad props if he takes on a good, competitive version...Even with the age.

 

Mosley is close to being shot. Prime Mosley knocks Cotto the hell out. For example, I wouldn't even consider Pac beating a prime Mosley, only now do I consider the possibility. All I have to do is watch Mosley vs DLH and some of those fights around that time, then I watch Mosley vs Cotto and Mayorga and I can see he's past it and close to being shot.
