I think this is a bad move for Mosley to agree to 147. At his age, it will definitely take a lot out of him. This is the weight Margo had been at most of his career. Advantage Margo..

Margarito will become the 1st man to stop SSM, around round 10 or 11.

    tough fight for Mosley.

However, if every great fighter has one last great performance in him, this could be it for Mosley. I hope so anyways

There is no denying that.. I agree 100%, but I think he bit off more than he can chew by agreeing to this weight..

This fight does look bad for Mosely, considering the trouble Shane has had with taller guys like Forrest and Wright, and Margarito is stronger and harder hitting than both of them.
But, to Mosely, fighting means fighting anybody, anytime. Unlike another so called all time great who flaps his lips more than his fists.

Mosley has a legends heart but he is in trouble here, if Mayorga was ahead on the cards and being effective on aggression alone, then I can see Margarito stopping him.

Margarito might stop Shane Mosley. It will be a good fight also and glad it's on regular HBO. Those are my thoughts.

When you compare both fighters last performances, you would have to give Margarito the upperhand. Mosley hasn't been prime for a good few years now, but he really shown how removed he is from his best days when he was being out boxed by Ricardo Mayorga. On that evidence alone, Mosley cannot avoid getting hit by Margarito, cannot keep up with his pace for 12 rounds, and won't be able to keep taking punishment at his age. I would favour a late stoppage, but that's hard to swallow, because Mosley has the aura of somebody who just doesn't get stopped. This time I think he will.

I'm backing mosley to pull this off, i think it will be his last fight and he wants to go out at the top of the sport, bringing in naazim richadson was a great move, he and mosley should gel. Mosley has the power and speed to hurt margarito, but if he is to beat margarito he has to make sure he hits and moves, something cotto couldn't manage.

Looks like it. The fighters just need to sign the contract for it to be official.

will Margarito come in the same shape against Mosley as he did against Cotto?
