"Margarito has great power. It's not the one punch knockout power that he has, it's that consistent type of power that adds up. There were some times when hit me with some good shots and I was like ..whoa, I gotta watch out... He came with a couple of good body shots, he has power - when he gets going he can really land those shots. He stunned me a couple of times. It wasn't really major, but I knew I had to watch out because two or three shots were coming after that."

See, this is the official proof that the holding and clinching helped SSM alot. The holding and clinching disrupted AM's rhythm, which you wanna do against a fighter like AM!

Aye, yeah, official proof. Margarito would have stopped him late if it wasn't for that.

I agree with you on this and its the reason Cotto lost there fight. He never knew how to clinch and Margi wore him down.

Props to Mosley for telling it like it is.

Cotto wasn't big enough to control their fight with the use of clinching. Sugar Shane is a strong welterweight. Not to mention, Raul Caiz always likes his fighters to try and break away from clinches themselves. If last night's ref had been Jay Nady or Joe Cortez, you might have seen a different outcome...maybe.

I think you said it yourself above. "Raul Caiz likes his fighters to try and break away from Clinches". I stand by what I said if Cotto had clinched I think the outcome would have been different.

    Interesting point on Raul though.

I truly think you would have seen a different fight, but the way Shane was so easily landing those huge power leads, I think he would have still taken it. Probably by UD though as he would have sustained more damage on the inside and would not have been as fresh late in the fight. I think the ref sucked and let him get away with way too much holding, but oh well...Shane whooped Margo's ass by being allowed to do everything he wanted to do, but either way the huge speed edge and world class composure would have allowed Shane to win no matter who the ref was imo.

not enough power without the concrete gloves though.
If you look at mosleys face its hard to tell he had been in a fight.

No, it is not. Mosley is not real, he acts. Now he is licking the ass of Margarito. He is an phony!

Probably because Mosley barely got hit. ^ Not enough power without the concrete gloves? I doubt that seriously. Mosley seems to making it unmistakably clear your concrete gloves amount to little more than a dumb internet gag. That might just be the point.

I dunno though, the whole "concrete gloves" theory is still open to interpretation

take into consideration that Mosley didn't get hit nearly as much as say Cotto did vs Margarito (because of Mosley's holding and speed advantage .. both credit to him).. so it's really hard to compare

and I thought it was plaster of Paris (isn't concrete an entirely different material?)

but we can only use the evidence in front of us, and at the moment all what's known is that Margarito's team had loaded gloves before the Mosley fight.

it's not known if Tony's done it before.
