Mosley Margarito observation

    From the sixth round on Shane had some gauze hanging out of the left glove, they cut it just before the stoppage, However at the time of stoppage on the replay you can clearly see about 8 inches of gauzes outside of Mosleys left glove as if some of it was removed, Now why is it that the gauze was not taped down?

    Did anybody else notice this.?

    The HBO team comments on it. It's tape from his glove, not gauze. And it isn't taped down because I guess the Ref doesn't notice it.

    Mosley cheated. The ref was in on it. No other logical answer can explain why.

    I noticed it, and shane even looked down at it once and then proceeded to kick margarito's ass.

    it was not tape its clear as day that it was gauze, if it were tape then the wrap is illegal becuase of how wide the gauze is.
    Yes Mosley kicked Margaritos ass no doubt, but there was still gauze comming out of his glove, the only place that, that gauze could have come from was the knuckle pad area in which its not tapped down, and not wrapped around the hand like the rest of the gauze its folded back and forth so in my eyes the gauze raises an eyebrow.

    The tape on the gloves was red, this is white gauze, tape that covers the gauze is not as wide.

    Yeah it was definitely gauze, not tape.

    Aye, just re-watched it and it looks like gauze. I may have been thinking of another fight. As for what part of the wrap it came from, who knows? It's not a loop, it's the end of the gauze strip, so it probably just wasn't secured down fully.

    Al though Mosley/Ref did cheat during the Mayorga fight allowed Mosley to stand 2 feet away from Mayorga right when he got up.

    Yep.

    Mayorga would have finished the fight without that.

    He would have lost too because of the KD but at least he would have finished the fight on his feet.

    Yes it was glove tape over his wrist. The only thing that should have been different is that the ref should have asked the fighters corner to re tape it. This would not have affected the outcome of the fight.
