Last I remember Mayorga fought well at 147. But anyways, you stated that you're take Mayorga 154 over Mosley. No matter what the weight is I'd pick Mosley. Whatever chances Mayorga has at beating Mosley are slim.

You said........"No mater what the weight is I'd pick Mosley".

I'd say it matters. Mosley is a better boxer than Mayorga, and he is more confortable when he fights at 147 or 154. If he had to fight at 160....I think he would lose. At 154 is a tough fight, and he shoud come ahead, but.... the way I saw him against Cotto tells me that he is not longer the real deal he once was.

Mayorga hasn't been able to bring his (overrated) power to 154, let alone 160. At any weight, SHane has the smarts to outbox Mayorga. I don't think Mayorga has the skill to beat Shane at any weight.

Mayorga has not done ANYTHING to suggest he'd have any advantage at higher weights.

He looked a lot better against Cotto than Mayorga has looked in 5 years. Mayorga hasn't ko'ed anyone since the year of the Sheep. Mayorga can't outbox him nor hurt him, so how can he win? At any weight?

It is not about power. It is about styles and feeling confortable with the weigh. The higher the weigh....,more chances for Mayorga.

And if we go to 168 the chances for Mayorga increases... why? because Mosley won't be able to hurt Mayorga, and therefore Mayorga would go after him. Do you understand what I am talking about?

Don't get me wrong. Shane Mosley is one of the best fighters I have seen in my life time, but he can not fight above 154.

Please don't get me wrong. I don't care what Mayorga has achieved. I am just saying that when you compare H2h then there is a different story.

This situation is about Mosley and Mayorga. I don't care if somebody tells me right now that Mayorga beat Forrest and therefore he should defeat Mosley just because of that./ You know what I mean?

Neither can Mayorga! At that weight, who has he beaten? Anyone that was legit? He got his ass whipped by Tito at that weight and nearly lost to Vargas at 166, who is really 154 lb fighter. What has he done ot prove he could fight any better at that weight than Mosley?

I think that Mayorga can handle better 160 and above than Mosley.

It is not about "WHO HAS HE BEATEN" It is about who can handle the weight better. This is my ppoint.

Yes, (you said) .....he got "his ass whipped by Tito at that weight and nearly lost to Vargas at 166"....

    and?????

So, he holds the weight better? How? If he doesn't fight well at those weights how can we say he holds that weight better? He fights like **** at those weights! How would he have a chance at beating Molsey? If he can't outbox, intimidate him, or hurt him? It doesn't matter what weight, he would get beaten badly.

Guys this is a mismatch. Not a bad one but a mismatch. 1st Mayorga loses to every good boxer even to Forrest this time (now that's a fight I want to see because it has a history). 2nd, if he tries to get down to 147 the weight loss will KILL him and Mosley will just abuse his corpse.

Schaefer was talking about a possible Mosley-Williams fight now that would be just GREAT! Mosley came close to beat Cotto, a new and young p4p-er so he deserves every opportunity even a rematch with Miguel, however Mosley-Williams sounds better this time.

Of course now Zab is free, he priced himself out of the Margo fight so Mosley-Judah is a possibility as well as (I really hope) that DLH-Judah.

He did good against an old Vargas. Right?

At 168 Mayorga will go after Mosley the same way he went after Forrest at 147.

Mayorga's hand speed is very underrated and his stupid style....whatever it is.... would make the difference.

Slight mismatch aside...this could be a really REALLY fun fight to watch.

I have no faith in it happening though.

Id like this fight, but it would take away a big money opportunity from Vernon Forrest, which i wouldn't like. How about Forrest fights Mayorga, Mosley fights a Zab Judah or Maybe Josh Clottey, and then the winners fight eachother? BTW, as for Mosley-Mayorga, SSM whips him BADLY, even at 154. He may not have looked his best at that weight, but remember he was fighting elite fighters DLH and Winky at that weight. And he looked a helluva lot better against DLH and Vargas then Mayorga did.
