Mosley/Mayorga talks heat up..

If Shane wants to continue fighting, I see no point in wasting valuable time with Mayorga.

 

Exactly, even at this point in his career, Mayorga is such a low reward high risk person, Shane may as well try and get some good names on his resume if hes going to fight, not some scrub brawler...

 

If he is just looking for a win to close out his career, then I think it's fine. But after losing a close fight to a prime Cotto, I think Shane wants and deserves one last big fight. Hard to see the road to a big fight in the future going through Mayorgaville.

 

It will be nice to see Mosley fighting against Mayorga. Mosley will win this fight, no doubt in my mind, better hand speed and better upper body movement, Mayorga will stay in front of him (this guy is strong but he will be a standing target for Mosley)

 

Mosley will get stubborn for half a round or something and get in a brawl Im sure, but i could see Mosley winning in a brawl with Mayorga as well..

Every other round, Mosley all day, if this happened, Mosley would probably lose 2 rounds TOPS if his stubborness comes out, if not, i think he wins every one..

Pretty much, easy fight for Sugar Shane..

 

Mayorga's power has not traveled. The weight issue means nothing. Mayorga has not been dangerous in years. All he does now is get beat up. No matter what weight, he is getting his ass whipped. Mayorga's punching power has not done anythng since he fought Forrest in their first fight. He hasn't bust a grape since he fought at 147. At a higher weight his power diminishes:deal . He has no chance. Mosley actually fights better at a higher weight than Mayorga, he at least has done somethng at a higher weight than 147 :deal

 

Too bad he hasn't shown that power at 154. He hasn't ko'ed anyone there since is moving up after the Cory Spinks fight. He ko'ed some bums several years ago at that weight. He hasn't shown any real power at all over the last few years.

 

Why not a catchweight of 150? It's not like either of them holds a belt. Both of them should be able to make 150 easy.

 

I dont think the weight is that important.

Even if they fought at 160 Mosley could just come in fight night at 155 and whoop him. It would be nearly the same as him fighting at 147 and not having to dehydrate. Mayorga would just be heavier, softer and slower than at 154 or 147. He wouldnt have to train as hard as he would to make the lower weights so it would help Shane in that respect.

 

He fought Spinks at 147:deal Good job at making 6 excuses for himatsch Funny how others such as Mosley have knocked Vargas out but all Mayorga could do his knock him down like feather fisted Rivera did:deal

 

Mayorga couldn't ko an iron deficient Vargas. Vargas was a shell in that fight. Mayorga didn't fight a prime trinidad. He got ktfo an out of retirement Tito that was too big for him. Size does not favor that man. And don't get me started with that Oscar fight. Mosley has fought Oscar twice and won. Oscar looked amazing against Mayorga. I can't remember the last time Osar dominated someone that badly. He destroyed him! Mosley would do the same.
