Someone else was saying that the heigher weight would benefit Margo. I agree with you that the higher weight could help shane as Margo wouldnt have to come in his best at the higher weights where as Shane would still be ready and just not have to dehydrate. I think Shane beats him in 2008 no matter what weight 147 154 160 they fight at. Even if mayorga gets down to 147 he still wont be the same guy that beat Forrest 5 years ago. Shane is past his best at well but he just fought a close fight with Cotto that could have been a draw, so he still has enough to be a challenge for even the best young guys out there where as Margo hasnt had any major wins in years.
It doesn't work that way - it was Mayo who said before the Danger Zone fight May 06 that he would beat Oscar cuz Shane beat Oscar twice, Forrest beat Shane twice and he beat Forrest twice therefore..., talkin about a shitty piece of argument so we can't say that Shane would beat him fo'sure... I wouldn't say Oscar looked AMAZING against Mayo either and it was Floyd Sr to keep an aging Oscar focused on exploring the slugger's flaws such as not being able to fight going backwards so he simply jabbed his way in, tagged him with the follow up left hooks and pressed him to the ropes in the old Alcazar days' style... Shane may not be able to do that against a very rough man - and I don't even imagine what would be this bum on classy Shane on pressers. I DON'T WANT IT TO HAPPEN ! This content is protected
Really? Who has he KO'd with one punch @ 154? Aside from Vernon Forrest, has he even KO'd anyone worth mentioning?
All arguments for Mayorga should have been destoyed after the beating Oscar gave him. Oscar hasn't dominated anyone like that since the year 2000.
