Mosley/Mora Question...

They both looked terrible....

Neither guy did enough for the win IMO

But Mosley has never been at his best at 154 and Mora just moved A LOT all night. Mosley has always had trouble with fighters that can stick and move effectively

 

IMO, Mora's movement bothered Mosley, Shane @ this stage ain't built for chasing anyone around the ring. Throughout the fight you had the feeling that Shane can land and end it, Just wasn't ment to be. Fight was rather boring and mostly took place with Mora against the ropes and clinching on Shane.

I also think Sergio's height was bothering Mosley aswell.
Expect him to look alot better against the smaller Pac in May.
(Manny will stand with Shane as opposed to Mora's anti-action style)

Overall I'd give Shane a 5/10 in that fight.

 

Mosley didn't look good against Mora, cause Mosley wasn't "juiced-up" with the illegaly banned stamina booster- EPO Steroids/Hormones, which is what he used to fight Margarito with.

they had OSDT for the Mayweather fight.

im not sure about the Mora fight. I think Mosley voluntarily decided to NOT use EPO for that fight so he can show the old slow version of Mosley and lure Pacman to fight him next (which he did), because Pac wont fight a fighter that he knows is good and strong.

 

Which is why he's ducking Soto.

 

Nobody looks good against Mora. I dont think Mosley showed any less than he did against Floyd. Either way he will need to show more than that against Manny. I dont think its a easy fight for Manny though at all.

 

To be fair to Mosley, he never looked great at 154, and he was fighting a middleweight really with Mora coming in 3 lbs over the limit. Had Mora had to drain to make the weight who knows if he would've had the energy to run and wrestle all night. Stupid matchmaking from Golden Boy, but that's what they wanted. They wanted Mosley to look bad and him out of the welterweight picture so they could pursue a third Pac-Marquez fight

 

He looked MUCH better than people give him credit for, and he CLEARLY won the fight against a much bigger man with a very difficult and gay style. Shane was a small Welter going up against a legit Middleweight.

It wasn't a good showing IMO and the last thing I wanted to see after that performance was him face Pac. He'll land on Pac but Pac will damn sure land on him. :-(

I had a draw, and you can argue Mosley won, but you can also argue Mora won. When your a point on the cards away from losing to a guy you should be several levels higher than, its not a good performance.

Whats more, he was hittable, confused, erratic, and as slow as Ive ever seen him.

You can make the argument that Shane had to chase Mora around the ring for much of the fight just to land, but I think Mora ran a bit too much. Mosley even took some chances of getting hit clean just to trade with Mora. That's how Mora fights. He's slick and unorthoxeod to a fault in my opinion.
