Leonards were......thats why he could be losing and throw a good long flurry of punches....even though some would miss.... Pearl or one of his other handpicked refs would come in and stop the fight giving Leonard the win.
More powerfull? Theres a reason why Hagler was a bit careful against him.... Theres a reason why Hearns was hurt and KO'd by Leonard... among others.... when I say he was favored by the refs....that was earlier in his career when he was overly protected as a pre-paid investment. Much faster and stronger as well. Although I was not a fan of his....but the truth is the truth.
Anybody that thinks Mosley hits WAY harder than Ray don't know ****. If anything, Ray probably had more pop at welterweight than Mosley does.
no one faster than leonard, but it's debateable who had more pop. my dad thinks shane does, but he thinks ray had abit more speed. i'm thinking ray might of had more pop due to him dropping hearns and dropping light heavyweight donny lalonde towards the end of his career, but maybe their's a great chance shane might of done the same. where i might agree is shane the better inside fighter, might of beaten ray on the inside like duran, but leonard the better outside fighter, beating shane to the punch with his jab and awkward style. leonard could be a very good bodypuncher when he wanted to also.
I think Leonard was clearly a harder puncher. Just flat-out better at Shane in pretty much every way when it comes to finishing ability, which is saying something because Mosley is superb at that, but it's tough to be a better all-around finisher than SRL at his peak. As for handspeed, I'd say Leonard here as well. Both had ridiculous speed at their best though.
