    Pacs last 6 opponents: Mosley,Margo, Clottey, Cotto, Hatton, DLH

    PBF's last 6 opponents: Mosley, JMM, Hatton, DLH, Baldomir, Judah

    Now let me see if I get this correct. When you look at these two welterweight resumes, what you see is Pac is riding PBF's coat tails. Is that correct? I going to assume this is correct.

    When I look at PBF's welter resume, I see a guy who has only fought one legit "elite" welter in Mosley and this is an old Mosley. But I give him full credit against Hatton. I also give him a pass on Baldomir because he was the linear champ. What you have left is an old and shot DLH, a bloated JMM (a guy who should never fight over 135lbs). And Zab Judah....a guy who now campaigns at jr welter because he is in fact a jr welter.

    Let me tell you what I see, when I look at Pac, here is a guy that has taken on the best the welterweight division has to offer currently. He is leaving no stone unturned. And though he fought Hatton after PBF, Hatton was still the best jr welter at the time and he fought him at jr welter. As far as DLH I give him no credit for DLH, DLH was old when PBF fought him and even older and drained when Manny fought him.

    And no one is going to give Manny any huge legacy props for beating an old shane, just like no one gave PBF huge legacy points for beating an old Shane.

    But what I like best about Pac's resume is the fact he took on these guys: Margo, Clottey, Cotto.

    And I think Shane will be more competitive than they were. But Pac gets credit for fighting them because those guys are and or were the top welters.

    Competitive for about 3 rounds maybe. Mosley doesn't have the kind of gas needed to keep up with Pac later in the fight. Mosley would have to seriously hurt Pac early to take him out.

    yeah here is the impact.

    Casual Fans before the fight:

    "Yeah, some of the top fighters in the world going at it"

    After the fight:
    " WHAT THE **** WAS THAT DOG ****!?!?! You mean to tell me that old man who was ran out of steam in round 4 is one of the best in the world?"

    This being such a large event can blow up so badly in the face of boxing it isn't even amusing.

    Shane couldn't win even if he brought a shotgun in one hand and a machine gun in another. I hate fights like this and Maidana-Morales getting made they're mismatches but at least they're(Morales & Mosley) getting paid so I can't be too unhappy because they do get paid to fight. Mismatches happen and they've been a part of this sport since the beginning so I'll have to deal with it.*sigh*

    Even though Mayweather is still the best welterweight today, he is NOWHERE to be found, and that leaves Pacquiao and Mosley (even though he's been shot to pieces by Money). Mosley has a belt and still on top 5 WW, and although there's not much quality fight for the next 6 months (except donaire-Montiel), I'd rather watch this fight.
