Seriously can anybody picture Mosley at 140? Hes been fighting at welterweight or above for ten years when his last fight was at 135 in 1999. This is the same man that made weight on his second try against Margarito. He will be 38 this september. Trying to make 140 at this stage would be suicide for Mosley.

    Mosley weighed 160 vs Margarito.

Roy Jones lost anywhere from 7-15lbs.

But Roy Jones wasn't near 40 years old.

I was never concerned about Mosley outclassing Pac but have been somewhat disturbed about the size and strength advantage that Pac would be conceding at the higher weight against the naturally much bigger man. By fighting Pac at 140, Mosley would be relinquishing those adantages and thus handicapping himself. Pac would be wise to take advantage of such an opportunity asap before Mosley snaps out of his delusion and comes to his senses.

Mosley is desperately in need of money to offer this lopsided fight. I won't buy this.

well jones weighed 193 for ruiz so he still had to lose a good amount of wieght. mosley isnt coming down that far. and mosley was never a big welterwieght like say dlh. so the wiehgt loss may not have that bad affect on him but you got to wait and see because of his age.

Overnight, Mosley has been relabeled one of the best in the sport - virtually unbeatable, on the back of a single win over a achingly slow, ringworn, (legally wrapped) Margarito. The only thing, for me, that was undeniable about that fight, was Mosley's power exhibition. Everything else could be put down to the genuine factors involved. And I do mean 'put down.' Richardson's involvement has alot of people excited - me as well, and rightfully so; but Mosley's ability to consistently perform at this stage in his career is a major major major question mark in my book. He looked uninspired, poorly timed, and poorly defended against Cotto, and looked worse yet against Mayorga. If this fight does happen, and Mosley does have major problems, I personally won't be caught up in just the weight, there's way more to the story. I've been a little bit surprised Roach hasn't seized in a way, but he knows better than I do what Mosley's punch could do to Pacquiao. "Nothing good," he seems to saying..

Jones actually weighed 200lbs (video proof)

    but even the 193 weight.

Roy Jones was weighing 185ish for his LHW fights. Mosley weighed 160 vs Margo.

    Totally disagree.

I think Shane truly believes that Pacquiao is taylor-made for his right hand, and he thinks beating Pacquiao is his key to landing the Floyd fight.

Mosley truly believes he can beat Pac and Floyd.

Whether or not he can remains to be seen (hopefully).

But I think Mosley cares A LOT about his legacy, and in his mind, wins over Pacquiao and Floyd would be a perfect ending to a storybook career and would forever erase the previous taints on his record. A third win against Cotto would do even better for his all-time standing.

Mosley is NOT looking for a payday--he is just extremely confident than he can knock Pacqiao out.

    I'm always honest . . . based on my own opinion and biases . . . I'm not saying I'm right always though. :D

If Mosley is serious about fighting Pac at 140 . . . then he's just take it for money . . . no other reason and he'll lose.

Of course the only way to prove that you're right about Shane being able to make 140 comfortably is if he wins over Pac. But being a Pac fan, I don't want you proven right because I don't want Pac to lose

If Pac wins, Pac doesn't get much respect, except probably from a few people like you who don't believe that Shane can't make 140.

If Shane wins, you're right, Shane didn't kill himself to make 140 and almost everybody else is wrong. But Pac still loses.

    Lose-lose for Pac fans.

Unless it's a really competitive fight where Pac wins and yet Shane still manages to look good losing.

As a PAC fan, i wouldn'tlike manny fight SSm at 140. it's a lose lose situation for him. he wont get any credit for that fight. if he'll beat SSM, most will say that SSM is to old and weight drained. If he'll lose, that double black eye on him.

Clearly. The need to cheat and win filled his mind.

Stupid as Roy?, how was Roy stupid?

If he didn't fight Tarver then he's a coward running scared, if he fought him then he's stupid or ducking Lewis at heavyweight. Pick one please.
