Mosley: "Pacquiao is the tougher fight compared to Floyd"

Pac starched hatton in 2, yet Hatton has been quoted saying he believes Floyd would beat Manny. Let Shane sit down and compare the two fights and Im sure he will say the same. I notice a trend that the common opponents believe Floyd wins that fight.

 

Yes and NO.. Pac definitely put more of a hurting on him and had him going a few times, but i do think Mosely at times threw Pac off track and frustrated him (he just didnt counter or couldnt pull the trigger)... Mosely dint win any rounds decisive but i did give him 3 rounds (1 bogus).

Mayweather never had Mosley in big trouble.. but he won every round clearly but the second... He also was not the slightest bit troubled by Mosely,, he new everything Shane was gonna do, before even Shane did.

BUt if i was Mosley id rather take an ass beating from Mayweather than Pac

 

Generally all Money, Pac and Klitschko opponents get blamed for fighting negatively after a fight. That is very often bull****. They get outclassed very early and never get another foothold in the fight

Having said that, Mosley is pretty shot. Based on his last few performances Mayweather's win over him doesn't look so great in hindsight. I thought it was a good win at the time, but maybe not so much now

Mosley said after the fight that he didn't want to take chances. Basically, he seemed to be admitting exactly what you are saying.

Shane came right at Margo and Floyd. He couldn't afford to do that with Pac, or he would have been badly KTFO. Shame for the fans, but smart move by Shane. After Round 3, he knew.

 

Mosley was being honest when he said the Pacquiao fight was tougher for him.
I think it would be tougher for any 40 year old past it fighter to take on a relentless puncher like Pacquiao who applies alot of pressure as opposed to a skilled sharpshooter like Mayweather who bides his time with a much lower workrate but does the same job with less motion.


......but I think you're right, when Mosley thinks it through, he's going to realize that Pacquiao is going to have a difficult time trying to hit Mayweather........and he'll think to himself the many times that I made Pacquiao miss or blocked one of his shots, Mayweather's quickness and sharp reflexes will make Pacquiao pay.

......however, I kept on cursing at my screen when after virtually every round Mosley was extending his gloves out to Pacquiao and touching gloves as if it were supposed to be a ****ing sparring session.:-(


.......I dont know if some of you caught this, but there was a couple of moments during the fight where during a clinch, I caught Pacquiao at Mosley's ear saying something to him......WTF???

......stuff like that should not be done as it can lead people to believe the fight is being staged WWE style.:huh

Reminded me of pro wrestling im sure they were giving each other the script to the fight I don't think he threw the fight but im sure he was paid lovely for his performance

 

Well....as you know dealing with that kind of loss, it's hard to accept. Ricky did well against Floyd...He can say that may just be one of his highlights of his career.

The devasting loss to PAC wasnt easy to accept and when asked who he thought would win between PAC and Floyd of course he was going to say Floyd, simply b/c he could hang his hat on "PAC getting lucky"...rather than PAC was just that much better than Ricky.

 

They both used PEDS going into the fight.:deal

Mosley is shot. the Mosley fight on Pac and Mayweather should not be a gauge for a possible pac-May fight. Hell Mosley couldnt even throw a ****ing punch!

 

I dont recall Shane fighting in any round outside of the first. What I did notice, and I dont know how relevant it may be, was Shane continually shaking or twitching his right hand, in a subtle manner, like so many who have injured their hand. He was even doin' it in the first.

So it could be a simple case of Shane being injured, that would explain the unShane-like preformance last night. Being a class act, it's feasable that he wouldnt mention it as an "excuse".

At any rate that wasnt the same Sugar Shane that showed up against Floyd, at least for the first part of their fight.

I didnt notice any oddities in Manny's preformance, admittedly I coulda missed it/them, but I didnt notice any. He even had alot of bounce in his step at the end of a few of those later rounds. I dont read every story on these guys ( Floyd/Pac ), so the leg cramping is news to me. I'm suprised I missed that story after he fought JMM. But I very well could've, or maybe I just dont recall it.

Anyway, that was basically the same Manny I've seen in his last two or three fights and it appears he's ripe for a straight right, right down the middle. It looked like Shane coulda scored easily with it, but wouldnt pull the trigger. AM landed it a few times on him too. Floyd's gotta a very, very nice right hand, whether he's using it to counter or lead, he's got a nice right hand thats like a heat seeking missile. I dont see how Pac gets away from those, if these two were to fight..... Maybe his power's enough. I hope we get to find out.

So anyone think Shane might've had an injured hand?

 

Lol, well duh Shane likes to fight, its a mismatch when your opponent has the same style and is faster and stronger than you, plus Shane is old and shot.

 

Well obviously it sucks fighting Pac worse than Mayweather because he hits harder, doesn't take a genius to figure out that fighting a guy that hits you harder is not as fun. Doesn't change the fact that Mayweather fought a better version of Mosley when Mosley was #1 WW coming off a huge win and looked better than pac did vs Mosley 2 shitty fights later. Mayweather dicated the pace and did what he wanted in there, Pac didn't look like himself and was frustrated at times by movement from a geezer. But come on man everyone knows it's shittier getting punched by a high volume power puncher than a defensive counter puncher
