While I still think Mosley doesn't have much of chance against Pacquiao. I just was thinking of the level of competition he faced. You can't knock his resume, he fought them all.

    Oscar De La Hoya
    Winky Wright
    Vernon Forrest
    Floyd Mayweather
    Miguel Cotto
    Antonio Margarito
    Phillip Holiday(when he was undefeated)
    Luis Collazo
    John John Molina
    Fernando Vargas
    Ricardo Mayorga
and now Manny Pacquiao next week.

That is a pretty impressive resume of fighters.

^This :patsch Show's what your opinion of FIGHTING truly is.

    Nice resume, regardless.
    (Mosley is a warrior)

Check out, Cotto's/Margarito's resume of names in long form sometime.. Also very impressive.

Let's just pray he does not get hurt. He is not invincible his long career is starting to show.
Any more damage can be very dangerous. I hope this is his last fight unless he wins easily.

Can't win them all. He never avoided any style or any opponent. Great career regardless how bad he losses to Pacquiao.

:nono Im not rating a fighter by his losses.
Im pointing out that he lost to good fighters and it doesn't make him special. He has lost a few one sided fights.
:verysad Mosley is a good fighter but far from what some see him to be.

Here are confessions Shane gave on the names in his ATG resume.

Best boxer: Mayweather -- No hesitation here. Mosley was unable to cope with Mayweather’s skills for almost the entire 12 rounds. “His technique, his movement. He was just a very good boxer.”

Best puncher: Forrest: Forrest was the first to seriously hurt Mosley, who went down twice in the second round but survived to lose a one-sided decision in their first meeting. Mosley has never been knocked out in 53 fights. “I’m not sure why; maybe it was just natural. He just hit the hardest.”

Quickest hands: De La Hoya -- Mosley was smiling when he responded to this question because, again, he knew the expected response was Mayweather. However, he was firm with his answer. “It wasn’t Mayweather. Actually, it was Oscar back then. Not now but back then.”

Quickest feet: Mayweather -- Again, no hesitation. “Mayweather. Very fast.”

Best chin: Zack Padilla -- Mosley cheated here because he didn’t face Padilla in an official bout but the two sparred well over 1,000 rounds over many years. His response in this category was probably his most enthusiastic. “He had the best chin. I hit him with sledge hammers and it didn’t hurt him. Ask anyone who has fought him and they’ll say the same thing.” Sadly, Mosley did hurt Padilla. He suffered a brain injury after a brutal session in 1994 and had to retire.

Best jab: De La Hoya and Wright -- Mosley thought about this for a few minutes but couldn’t make his mind. “They both had a really good jab.”

Strongest: Wright -- This isn’t a surprise because Mosley was still a natural welterweight and Wright was a mature junior middleweight when they met twice in 2004, Wright winning a one-sided decision in the first fight but barely gaining the nod in the second. “Winky didn’t have punching power but he was physically very strong. He was the strongest I faced.”

Smartest: Mayweather -- One aspect of Mayweather’s game might be his ring savvy. Mosley didn’t hesitate before provided this response. “He’s just smart. He knows when to go in and when not to. He won’t take any chances. He won’t listen to the crowd or anything to get himself riled up. He stuck with his game plan.”

Best defense: Tie, Wright and Mayweather -- Mosley at first gave Wright as his response to this question. On second thought, though, he wondered out loud whether Mayweather was the better choice. “I think Winky was the best defensive fighter I faced. Mayweather is more a slick counter puncher. … Well, I did hit Winky a lot. Maybe it’s Mayweather. Winky had more a smothering defense. He gets you tired, drains you. With Mayweather, you just can’t hit him really. It’s close. They have different types of defenses.”

Agreed. I also give props to Oscar De La Hoya. One of the biggest names in boxing and would have still made alot of money facing B-classers yet tested himself with the best over and over.

    Trinidad
    Pacquiao (p4p)
    Mayweather (undefeated, p4p)
Hopkins (coming off 18 MW title defenses)
    Whitaker
    Hernandez (undefeated)
    Mosley x2
    Sturm
    Vargas
    Chavez x2
    Gonzalez (undefeated)
    Quartey (undefeated)
    Castillijo
    Campas

    Honourable mentions:
    Leija
    Mayorga
    Gatti
    Carr
    Santos

yeah great opposition. but it's quite ironic that pacquiao was listed now as one of oscar's greatest opposition when going back at the time, he was being ripped for fighting a lightweight pacquiao and is seen as a cherry-pick. now, it was pacquiao who is being ripped for fighting a welter delahoya.

Throw out two more decent guys for Mosely's resume:

John John Molina, former two time world champion beating Manuel Medina, Juan Laporte, and Tony "The Tiger" Lopez and gave Oscar the first grueling 12 round fight of his career.

    and

Wilfredo Rivera who many people thought was robbed against Pernell Whitaker and still gave Sweet Pea a fair run in the rematch.

Yeah I agree. If DLH beat Pacquiao he would've been seen as a cherrypicker. Still the only fighter that surpasses Oscar's resume that is seen as an active fighter is probably Holyfield. It's definitely over Oscar's but I think it's the only one from an active fighter that passes Oscar's.

It really was...I made a thread about it a few months back where I said the same thing, but most people believe it was 7-5 or 8-4 for Cotto.

Mosley is a warrior no doubt just like Mayorga, who you can also add to the list.
