  2. It's sad to see the effects of EPO on a fighters brain years after usage.

Idk...ssm fought both of them so he'd know better than most

  4. I am positive Canelo hits harder than feather fisted Sinclair. Floyd has no power at 147, much less at 154.

ehhh dude above me is being silly. Mayweather hurts almost every fighter he faces.

Cotto: stumbled him in the 12th
    Ortiz: KO
    Mosley: hurt a few times
    Marquez: hurt and knocked down
    Hatton: KO
DLH: hurt and stumbled, 5th round I believe
    Baldomir: iron chin, didn't hurt
Judah: was putting a beating on him and would've stopped him IMO if Judah didn't commit the huge low blow

Mayweather just doesn't have the aggressive style to turn many of these into KOs, but he stands his ground, has power, and even more importantly has great accuracy with his shots. I think Canelo has more power, but Canelo doesn't have the accuracy and placement which is just as important for producing KOs.

Agree. But more so than Floyd not having the aggression to produce KO's, how about we acknowledge the absolute IRON nature of the guys he fought.

Nobody is going to KO Mosley. Not going to KO Baldomir. Not going to KO Oscar.

You can hurt and drop JMM, which he did, but you aren't gonna KO his ass.

You can hurt and force Cotto to a knee, but you aren't gonna KO him cold either.

Judah, Sharmba, Hatton, and Ortiz are his only WW+ opponents he theoretically should have stopped. And he went 3/4. Also, let's not act like Judah or Hatton were close to KO's waiting to happen at the time Mayweather fought them.

    Good post and points.

I do not believe Floyd has the same type of raw power personally, but against Mosley Mayweather was hitting Shane repeatedly with shots he didn't see coming, and those of course tend to hurt more.

Having said that, I have a near impossible time thinking that 33 year old Mayweather at 147 has the same power as 23 year old Canelo at 154.

  13. Ur on crack dude.

.. Pac stopped Cotto and battered his face. Floyd... "stumbled him" in your own words and he wasn't battered at all.

.... Ortiz wasn't KOd... Floyd threw two shots at a guy who was looking away at the ref lol get real dude

.. Mosley "hurt a few times"... yea Pac knocked him down and made him retreat the entire fight. MOSLEY rocked floyd twice and put him on ***** street and still felt the confidence to fight back throught the entire fight.

.... Marquez.. flash knocked down once. Never happened again. FLoyd cheated him on the scales, he bloated 10pds up for his first fight at WW. Pac has destroyed his face in all of their fights. get real

... "stumbled" and HURT? DLH .. LOL . Pacquiao stopped him and made him quit on his stool.

    ... with Judah " WOULD'VE" again.. L-O-L. would've right? but DIDN'T.

get owned dude. Your post is so delusional.

So anytime a fighter is knocked out when they don't have their hands in a defensive position or are glancing away, it doesn't count?!?

So, Hagler's KO over Hearns is not a KO because he ran down a fighter who was retreating, partially turned away, and smiling? Hagler NC3 Hearns. The greatest fight that never happened...

    News to me.

Agree. I think that's where Mayweather gets that "power" emphasis. If that makes sense?

Plus his style. I think he can bang with both hands, but his style doesn't allow that type of performance.
