I'm not a traitor dude! I just really think Floyd will win this fight. I love Shane man, really do, made my year when he destroyed Margo and I'm pumped he finally got this big money fight. I just happen to find myself defending Floyd alot lately on this forum.
I know bro...I'm just busting balls. I've noticed you defending Floyd alot that's the only reason, just ****ing around I miss the days when we were both bashing that little **** in the same thread!:woot
Mosley will have to fight 100% for all 12 rounds, and work the jab more often and more effectively than he ever has before. That's his only chance of getting through Floyd's defense: keep Floyd off-balance, like DLH almost did, and then look for opportunities to land the big punch. Otherwise, it's Floyd running and potshotting his way to a UD.
I think youre the one not getting it. Im saying its MY OPINION there is no real risk of Mosley losing. Therefore its MY OPINION that he is favorite. Its MY calculated prediction.
I just don't see how Shane can beat Mayweather when he couldn't beat Cotto who is less effective in ALL areas of boxing except maybe power which was never a factor in the fight. Anything Cotto could do boxing FMJ can do better to the nth. This, on paper, looks to be a shutout. This is boxing though so one punch can change everything. SSM has more than enough to deliver that "one punch". He is also a GREAT finisher.
Naah Mosley is the underdog. Floyd will probably defeat Mosley in another boring UD victory but it's much better for boxing if Mosley upsets Floyd since down the road we will probably see the welter division linear championship and unification fight between Mosley and Pacquiao. If Floyd wins, the fans will still be denied of a Pacquiao-Floyd fight since these 2 can't agree on the conditions for the fight. Pacquiao-Mosley is a much easier fight to make.
Trust me I'm rooting for Mosley. He's a fighters fighter and Mayweather, at this point is more of a manager than a fighter. With that said, Mosley has always had problems with good jabs(Vernon Forrest, Wright) and Mayweather has a better jab than both of those guys. He is the underdog and he should be the underdog, albeit a very, VERY live one.
How long has Nasim been in Shane's team for now? It will be interesting to see if Shane had his last big hurrah against Margarito, or if he can lift and match or exceed that effort against Floyd. There certainly is no lack of incentive for Mosley to win, he then has the prospect of a Pac fight and Floyd rematch. Those two extra fights could earn him more than he has done in the entirety of his career. But I think Floyd is gonna win a boring UD.
