Mosley "They actually believe I'm going to fight Clottey, Berto, or Paul Williams?"

I agree with Mosley's sentiments......in his youth, he fought those difficult styles that were avoided, Vernon Forrest and Winky Wright, and he fought both of them twice........

Root for a JMM victory over Mayweather Jr., because the only way for Mosley to land a big fight is if JMM beats Mayweather and Pacquiao refuses to fight JMM......

.....at that time look for JMM to make history and conquer Mosley for Mosley's 147 lbs title.....the fight can be made because both are GBP fighters......

.....and believe me, if JMM upsets Mayweather, JMM-Mosley would be a PPV sell.
....a matchup between two fighters that dared to be great!:yep









I know I'm getting ahead of myself.....Mayweather is a huge task but not an impossible task.

 

hmmmmm, I gave that 12th round to Mosley because Cotto did the same thing that Mosley did in that last roung (nothing).....the reason I gave it to Mosley is becuase he did his nothing while going foward and Cotto did his while backpedalling.

Cotto basically backpedalled the last couple of rounds in that fight while basically moving his hands very little.
In other words by moving his hands so little and backpedalling, Cotto surrendered those rounds by default to Mosley.

 

This is another conjecture coming out from a biased hardcore JMM fanatic. Arum himself admitted that whoever wins in the Floyd/Marquez gets a crack on Pacquiao. He would never refuse a big fight against Floyd. Moreso against longshot Marquez whom he had beaten already twice. It's actually Floyd who's scared of Pac. That's why picked Marquez whom he can easily beat. At this point, it;s still Pac Floyd not Pac Marquez despite the fake injury of Floyd.

 

Hope GBP will pity Mosley's sad plight and make the JMM vs. Mosley fight now... This is very easy for GBP to make since both are GBP boxers... At least, Mosley's desire to have a MEGAFIGHT will be realized with a fight against JMM NOW... Forget Mayweather Jr., anyway he's injured...

I think it's kinda irrelevant who won that last round. It was close and could have gone either way. The point is Shane didn't go out there and really try and win the fight and go for the knockout. He would have known he would have been down on the scorecards or at least on level terms, so it was extremely disappointing to me, how he approached that last round.

You seen Kessler-Calzaghe 12th round? Kessler was fighting like an animal in that last round really letting his hands go and gunning for a KD or a KO. That's what I call heart.

 

I completely understand and respect where Shane's coming from here. He's earned the right to go out on his terms.

That said, it could possibly until 2010 when he gets the fight he's looking for, if it even happens. If that's truly what he's holding out for, he should do the honorable thing and relinquish his title to let someone who genuinely wants to have the belt, and the responsibility that goes along with it, fight for it so they can help make a name for themselves, too.

 

Takin the ****....He is a renowned Gym rat. I dont recall a fight he didnt come into in great shape.

IF, in fact, he said that, then it's a sad statement from him and a sad day for boxing. He's basically stating that he doesn't wanna fight a guy that's more likely to beat him as did WW AND FORREST. I guess he only wants to fight smaller guys and/or more winnable fights ala Floyd. Also sad that some fans condone this kind of behavior inside the sport.... BTW, this coming from a Mosley fan!:verysad

 

This is just frustration talking. Shane has to stay busy while waiting for the dust to settle and he knows that. Berto will be next.

 

It's pathetic how fast some Mosley fans want to jump ship just because the man has finally decided to try and stick up for himself. Good riddins you fair weather ****ers.

Shane meant he's through fighting the number 2's and 3's. He wants a shot at the number ONE.
