Mosley V Terry Norris @ 154

Terry would outbox him to a 8-4 kind of decision Id imagine.

 

Either Mosley gets him fairly early or Norris gets it together and outboxes him for a UD.

 

2 very talented boxers but I think Mosely's abillity to think his way through a fight is far superior to Norris. Norris created new ways to lose his head in fights. I'll give Mosely the decision, and that's not even considering the fact that Mosely had a much better chin.

 

Shane Mosley probably has a superior resume to Norris. That is not what is important head to head.

It is hard for me to envision a fighter incapable of defeating Forrest and Wright, and proving to be just a bit superior to De la Hoya, is capable of beating Terry Norris.

Norris was bigger, had superior power, was as well conditioned, and had comparable speed. The only advantage Mosley would have over Norris is his chin.

Mosley would have a puncher's chance, I won't dispute that. Mosley has the physical ability to be any type of fighter he wants, but doesn't use it. Mosley is a fighter in a boxer's body, and often neglects strategy. Mosley likes to out fight his opponents by using his superior athleticism. It will be next to impossible to out athlete Norris.

I'll pick Norris by UD, out of my respect for Mosley. I have no problems with those picking Norris by stoppage.

 

Terry Norris has all of the tools in place to win this fight...But would he use them??? Mosley has the chin to go all night with Norris as well as keep this fight very competitive. I see this playing out like one of the Norris-brown affairs...Norris loses concentration opening up the door for Shane to catch him and when he does...Good bye Mr. Norris...Yet I have no trouble seeing Norris realize the power has to be respected and choose his spots, and maintain focus for the whole fight taking a nice UD.

Could go either way. I would lean towards a Norris decision, but he better be focused all night!

 

Norris UD. His speed would gradually tire out the smaller Shane IMO.

 

I think Mosley was smarter and tougher and would win by a mid rounds TKO.

Simply a matter of size. Mosley didn't fare very well against fighters larger then himself.

The only shorter man he ever lost to was Cotto, and that was unbelievably close.

I'd be inclined to say Norris takes a decision, based on me never really being impressed with Mosley at 154.

But at the same time I can't ignore Norris' chin, and Mosley's combination of speed, power and aggressiveness, if he fights the way he fought in Margarito fight he has more than a chance of knocking Norris out.

But I'd say 6 or 7 times out of 10, Terry takes a unanimous decision.

 

Margarito wasn't as tall or as rangy as Forrest, obviously.

 

Norris batters mosely in a 1 sided affair, norris was a tall rangy fighter and he made his career out of destroying smaller guys like mosely, mosely doesnt even have a strong resume at 154 to determine how well he'd do against norris

Norrises chin wasnt as bad as people make it to be he was hit flush by donald curry and sugar ray leonard, yes they were past there best but they could still punch i dont think he'd have trouble with moselys power

the guy was 5'9 and barely 70' reach. almost the dimensions as mosley.

and smaller men is a bit of a harsh term the guy came in most fights barely over 160. actually weighing in at 150 for a decent portion of his career...actually what smaller guys are you talking about? leonard,curry,mugabi,castro,daniels,mo blo,brown all big for the weight and fought higher. even guys like waters,gatti,taylor were big enough guys....mel taylor was small but he had fought higher and carried the wieght well. also catch weight of 150 pounds.

i know it seems like a load of excuses but he wasnt a truely massive 154

 

Mosley is quick fought well against boxers. Norris had a horrible chin especially towards the end of his career. I would lean towards Mosley.
