I don't know ... Tito is one of my favorite fighters but Shane is very fast (at that time) and very strong ... we all know that Shane has the chin. The only thing I don't like about Shane is his "stiffness" Tito was very powerful and pretty fast in his own right ... I think it would've been a slugfest with Tito getting the decision ... The weight also depends on who wins ... because Shane has a better chance of winning at welterweight than he would at super welter or middleweight.
Trinidad. Shane get's hit. I can't see him fighting the smart fight vs Trinidad for twelve rounds. Also this fight would have been at 154 which Trinidad was absolutely great in and Mosley was so/so in. I think Shane would take the first four to six rounds but Trinidad would start landing more and more shots toward the later rounds. Eventually he'll catch Shane with something big.
Trinidad wasn't just anyone. Forrest almost knocked him out in his first fight. Trinidad is much more powerful than Forrest. Mosley went the 12 rounds vs Hoya and got the decision in first fight and Hoya was a hell of a puncher and faster than Trinidad, however Forrest was landing right hand bombs all day where Mosley had no answer. Trinidad always set up his knock outs with a right hand bomb before his left hook.
No one's knocking out Shane Mosley ... and if you're talking about early 2000's Mosley, that guy was nothing to play with ... he actually showed more ability than he does now ... he would've been a handful for Tito ... I think Tito couldve got to him but no knockdowns or knockouts ... if anyone getting knocked out its going to be Tito. I'm going to stick with my original post and say that Tito wins by close decision ... just like no one is knocking Shane out, no one is backing Tito up ... I never seen Tito backdown from anyone and i'm 100% that he's a better technical boxer than Shane.
One of those absolutely great fights that never got made. Instead we have the quite forgettable Winky/Mosley 1 and Winky/Mosley 2.
