I don't think I'm exaggerating at all. What I believe you don't see is how Berto's offensive game would be shut down when Mosley puts him on the back foot. The guy can't be effective when he's being attacked.. he becomes very uncomfortable, confused, and even more sloppier than usual when someone isn't overwhelmed by his offense and throws hard shots at him on the inside. His chin is very vulnerable, he panicks, and he will not be able to adjust or fight smart at all. Mosley's chin is IRON and he won't be affected by Berto's shots, which aren't even sneaky like Cotto's. Mosley will have no problem taking Berto's best shots to fire back with much more effective ones. What do you disagree with specifically from this rundown? What does Mosley not KO'ing Estrada have to do with anything? Estrada's chin is not comparable to Berto's.
He does not become totally sloppy and overwhelmed when attacked. He fires his jab, uses his strength inside, and fires back hard punches. This is total fantasy. Berto has only had 1 flash kd... Where do you pull this bad chin stuff from?? He took a few very solid shots from Estrada and was unfazed. He chin isn't rock, but it is far from being as bad as you are making out. Berto has enough power to keep Mosley off, and enough handspeed to tag him. Mosley is the overall better boxer, and would eventually use this to overcome Berto. Berto has a better jab though, and would use this to dictate the pace. Mosley fights as a boxer puncher, and so does Berto. This means two guys standing at punching range, firing off. Mosley doesn't have the best defence either. It is silly to think that he is going to just stand and deliver, and back Berto up at will. It is totally unrealistic.
He didn't win, he lost by 4 rounds. Regardless, what does that have to do with Mosley stopping him. Because Mosley had a close fight with Cotto, that means he stops him now... Would Pauli stop him as well based on your logic?? Ridiculous. Berto isn't going to leave his chin there like a shot Vargas begging to be hit. He will be fighting from the outside, using his quick straight punches off his jab. When was the last time you guys saw Shane just change the fight off one punch, or show the sort of power to really hurt and KO someone like that?
Hearing the talk about Berto remonds me of the same talk I heard about Tito when he won his first title. Where Berto has faster hands, Tito had better power. Tito had height, where as Berto has better foot movement. Berto is exciting though. Time will tell.
I'd have to give Mosely the edge here but Berto is more than a live dog...he has all the physical gifts you would want but he has yet to share the ring with a man with the strength, speed, power and savvy that Shanes has....plus Shane is one determined mofo in the ring Berto has not faced anyone with at least 50% of the attributes shown above so after taking that into consideration I would have to give the edge to Shane.
