Except that Winky is bigger, naturally stronger, and has better skills. :deal I think you're taking this analogy too far. First of all, Shane was very competitive against Winky in the rematch, and beyond that, I don't think of Clottey as a Winky-clone--Winky was an elite fighter, and I'm not sure the same can be said of Clottey. The verdict is still out on him.
I agree, but we are talking about WW. JMW was okay for Mosley, but Winky was too big and strong with that defence. Clottey is big for a WW, but he is a WW. Mosley's shots would get in and I see a late stoppage for Mosley. Whether it be Clottey's corner stopping it or the ref. That is if Mosley is true to his word post Margarito that he is going for just KO's.
Clottey lacks Winky's jab and isn't a south paw but still is a physically imposing fighter who is defensive minded. Mosley would have to overcome Clottey's size, strength, and guard in order to win and the fact that Winky handled him so easily twice leads to to believe that this kind of style is just flat out wrong for Mosley. Clottey certainly doesn't have the type of resume to strengthened my theory but again my central point is strictly based on his stylistic advantages. I doubt we ever see this fight come to fruition but I'd be excited if it ever did to see if and how my theory holds up.
