Calzaghe proved that if you have supernatural talent age dont matter and I think Mosley has that supernatural talent.
Goddam! I can't chose who I'm going with. :| :| :| :| :| :| Logically it's should be Cotto . . . but I like both. atsch :huh
Wrong. Not being fleet footed, doesn't automatically mean you're flat footed. If Cotto was the "flat footed plodder" some claim he is, he wouldn't be amongst the best, if not the best, today at cutting off the ring. Nor would Emmanuel Steward consider him the best short distance puncher since Tyson if he needed his feet set to do damage.
..:rofl the ref is looking at cotto like (you know i seen what you just did and am a eye witness al make shore charges r brought agents you for man slaughter) cotto late tko in the 9th but the fight is to close to call.
Everyone here keeps aludding to Cotto's body punching, Convinirntly forgetting that SSM was and might still be one of the most vicious body punchers in the sport. Plus he doesn't have all the mental issues that Zab has. SSM by KO inside of 8.
Cotto is being portrayed like an imaginary beast released in a nerve-wracking, testicle freezing, gooseflesh jungle atmosphere in MSG next Sat nite by his fans, a wild rhinoceros in his mighty jungle, even more unreal than that, a triceratops with armor-plated body and a cud drooling in between its tusk-edges jaws in a scene completely taken from The Lost Continent and Mosley some sort of prey with the difficult task of aiming under the rising mist of the jungle and certain to be sprawled on the floor, steamrolled outa there like in the mind-trap picture of the anniversary cake with Cotto to take the deathbite... Nothing so very wrong, I see a young man taking tentative steps forward... left foot...forward...(and pause) right foot... forward...(and pause), head down, legs spread wide, outstretching for balance, body wavering from side to side, out to the very edge of balance and then beyond... Mosley tiny forepaws against his forehead then? You'll feel the nerve-roasting agony of the fast and the fury as the gunslinger spews the fire and the first bullets flick the air around Miguel like snapping fingers, Cotto's body tumbling sideways, going down on his back, on his sit-upon or bumping to his side - then, trapped by the trap that was set for Mosley, you'll need much more than imagination - mind the mind trap! Less than 6 nights away, speak up, speak up right now?!!!
That was not because of Cotto. that is because of Judah. Remember that is how judah fights with all his fights lately, Mayweather, Baldomir, Spinks. The list goes on. Cotto did nothing to neutralize Judah as we haven't seen before. Typical Judah to fade.
I think Mosley will win via decision and I love Mosley but I do not think that he will knock him out or down to say the least. I feel the only way for him to win is to go into this fight Southpaw. Cotto has had alot of problems getting hit with the left hand. Judah, Chop Chop for instance. It does not matter which way Mosley moves around Cotto his foot speed should help him from not getting hit alot. Chop him down with left hand leads and left hooks to the body. It is so easy to hit Cotto to the body as Judah would have had a field day if he would have let his hands go and stop throwing one punch at a time. Use combos to the body and left hooks to the face. Yeah Cotto will block the left to the face but the body shots and left hooks to the face, or shoulder(see Roy Jones vs Eric Harding for left hooks to the shoulder) should take its toll. Cotto is so flat footed and his movement ought to be easy pickings for Mosley. The only problems I see is Fatigue for Mosley but I do not see him getting stopped or knocked out. Vernon Forrest is a way better fighter than Cotto in his prime and hits harder and if the shots he landed to the body and that uppercut did not take Mosley out then I have a hard time thinking Cotto will do the same. If Mosley fights Southpaw and throw left hooks and combos to the body, this should be cherry pickings for him all nite. But like I said......fatigue, hmmmmm.
