How weird that i decided to watch this fight before finding out Forrest was killed,But this was a demonstration of Vernon at his best i watch this fight once a year and still enjoy watching the skill and power of Forrest as he pummelled the undefeated pound for pound number 1 Why was Forrest such a big underdog given the history between him and Shane.
You know how it is, Forrest was a relative unknown and didn't have the most exciting style. Shane was #1 P4P even though Vernon beat Shane as an amatuer wasn't really taken into to much consideration. But Vernon made a name for himself that night. He beat the crap out of Shane then beat him again in the rematch which oddly enough I found 2 weeks ago digging through old video tapes. Vernon was definately one of the best that never really got the credit he deserved. R.I.P. Champ:-(
