    Tough fight for both guys.

Shane is one of the most talented fighters to ever be at 135 though.

Mosley never beat a Chavez type guy a 135.

You know why people think that way, though? It's because of his late career performances against Oscar at heavier weights, and those few high profile fights where the foot speed or handspeed of a black fighter troubled him. No doubt Chavez was an exceptional fighter, and no doubt at lightweight Mosley never fought anybody like him. I just think the styles match up well for Mosley.

Chavez extraordinary attribute was the ability to walk into a flurry and see every punch and move just enough to duck under them and counter. He was never that fast, just sick with the precision and knowing how to slip just enough to be in a position to punish the body. I just feel that the success Roger Mayweather, Pernell, Meldrick, and Randall had presage how Mosley would have done against his style a bit, because Mosley did have footwork at 135 before he started looking sluggish. I think its a great match up, I just favor Mosley from a style and speed standpoint.

Mosley, Chavez had real problems with speedsters and Mosley always finished strong so wouldn't wilt like Taylor did.

i'd probably pick JCC via TKO or KO...

mosley would never KO chavez, so if mosley wins it would be a UD, but i see chavez using his famous left hook to the liver and ending it

I'd pick chavez via close but unanimous dec... Mosley struggled to make 135 and completely skipped 140. This tells me a Chavez body attack and physically grueling stlye fight at this weight, weakens mosley in the later rounds. Chavez's lead right hand was deceptivley quick and he would not get caught with shots people are thinking he would get caught with.

Mosley 7-5 maybe 8-4 decision. Mosley's size and athleticism caries the day, over Chavez's toughness and tenacity.
