Very true. That's what I expect Malignaggi to do - stay on the move and not let Shane plant his feet to throw. With the constant popping of the jab and higher workrate, you'd have to favour him to win a UD.

As others have said, it's a win-win for both guys. Paulie gets a semi big name payday and a possibly very easy defense, Shane gets a vulnerable champion and said champion's power isn't a factor at all so there isn't much risk of getting hurt. Unfortunately for the fans, I think you get a terrible fight. Think Paulie will just run and jab a Mosley that can't pull the trigger at all all night to a decision win, and if Mosley happens to win, it's the same thing except Mosley pulls out one big shot somewhere and then finishes Paulie off after hurting him.

My thoughts exactly , When he hit Alvarez , Alvarez didnt blink . When he hit Floyd . Completely different story . You can clearly see the decline in Shane .

I know Malignaggi is not a hard hitter, but taking blows to the head is still incredibly dangerous for your health. It has been proved that "subconcussive" blows can still cause CTE or "punch drunk syndrome." Mosely already has a horrible nasally sound in his voice, and is beginning to slur. He is showing all the signs of brain damage already, so I think this is horrible for his health.

a guy who is 0-3-1 in his last 4 fights
a guy who hasnt won a fight in 4 years
gets a shot at a WBA title

and some people think these titles actually mean something

Paulie is not featherfisted at 147. He has about average power. He busted up both Senchenko and Cano(eve tho he prolly lost)

I can see Shane's face being busted up on way to losing a decision.

Malinaggi got outboxed and dropped vs a Mexican club fighter his last time out lol. If Mosley can pull the trigger he could stop him.

Mosely has a draw to Mora in 2010, the same Mora who went on to lose twice to Brian Vera.

And if anything Mosely has gotten worse since.

The last time we saw anthing like a dangerous Mosely was in the Floyd fight nearly 3 years ago.

8 oz vs 10 oz gloves.

Mosley was letting his hands go early in that fight, but Alvarez wore him down some. Even down the stretch, Mosley was still fighting.

As usual, I'm in the minority here but I just don't get this. Is he possibly trying to parlay a victory into a mildly intriguing showdown with Bradley? Pacman rematch on the brain? Look, I understand that this appears to be a golden opportunity to poach a strap but is this really worth it? He can't be that broke. Can he?

Cano had noticeable success timing Paulie's jab with the right hand and Mosley is certainly capable of doing the same. That said, Malignaggi's movement is going to make that task increasingly difficult for an aging fighter. Throw in the fact that Paulie is one of the best in the business at staying composed when hurt and you've got one tall mountain to climb for Sugar Shane.

i am going to bet on mosely and i am hoping to get +300. fight will in all likelihood be in new york so mosely will have to dominate or get the stoppage.

i could aslo see mosely going back to conte for this fight.
