Unfortunately, you are right. By the time Shane fires his shot, Paulie will have moved. Quick little combos then step out.....repeat. This won't really even be exciting.

Il be sure to bump this post on fight night. You guys must not have seen Paulie fight. He's about as elusive an elephant with piles.

I'm confused at people so confident about picking Shane. Paulie is no ATG defensive fighter, but who is going to have an easier time landing? Paulie is going to land jabs to the body and flurries up top and scurry away while Mosley goes for wide lefts and rights and falls into a clinch. The judges might have a hard time deciding who is doing the better work. But in no way is Mosley going to have an easy time catching Paulie. His best bet is to just try and be a bull to distinguish him round to round, but who knows how long he can keep that up.

I also think he just wants to finish a fight with his father as his trainer. He mentioned his family line as a legacy he wants to establish before he retires for good, particularly since he's training his own son, so I think this will truly be it.

Malignaggi is my second favorite fighter.

    I don't even like Mosley (PED use and, I don't know, I just don't).

And I think that Mosley will stop Paulie.

edit: hey, I hope more than most outcomes that I'm wrong.

Just remember the Mora fight folks. Mosley's not going to perform any better than that.

Does anyone think that perhaps Mosley's inability to throw punches over the past couple years has anything to do with him facing Mayweather, Pacquiao, and Alvarez?

    Just a thought...

He could plod forward with his hands down without throwing a single punch the whole fight and would still finish on his feet against Paulie.

The problem with Paulie is that he can only move in one direction, to his left.

    He can't go right.

He never does. What is with that?

he is almost 41 years old. that has everything to do with it. and a 41 year old former lightweight champion (translation - lighter weight guys go downhill 5X faster than the big boys) the guy hasnt won a fight since jan 2009. we are in jan 2013. :rofl

    Decent fight for both guys.

Paulie is a borderline top ten guy anyways. He doesn't claim to be the best in the world.

there is a reason that pauli is ranked #14 at boxrec even though hes the wba champion.

hes not a legit ww and has gotten beaten down everytime hes faced someone bigger and stronger than him(hatton, cotto, khan).

even the current faded version of mosely is going to have more than enough to throw around pauli like a rag doll.

pauli was a 3-1 underdog underdog against the limited senchenko

    http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?p=12701065

so because of this one win and his horrible showing against cano where he arguably lost to a guy that was ko'd by morales a year earlier you think that everyone here is stupid for picking mosely?

and youre going to continue to use your taunting emoticons and stupid irrelevant fotos?

if mosely has no chance as you say(calling us morons that dont know **** about boxing) what do you think the odds are going to be?

please, inform all us mosely backers with your infinite wisdom and knowledge about the fight game.

judah is currently a +500 against garcia. surely mosely will be more, right? you know, since he has no shot of winning as you say.

Senchenko was undefeated and certainly a top 6 WW at the lowest entering the Paulie fight.

Regarding Cano, I was at Morales/Cano and must say that the crowd was uneasy, with whispers of the fight being even through 8 rounds and Morales not looking good. This is the Morales who before and after the Cano fight would win rounds off of both Maidana and Garcia. No shame in that. I'd actually pick Cano to beat a lot of 140/47 pounders.

Also, I did score the Paulie/Cano fight to Paulie by 1 point.

    ---

If I were in charge of making the odds at Vegas, I'd honestly advise my casino to not accept wagers on the result, as I literally think it's dead even, only on the over/under.
